8-Undermountain Trip 4 - SkullPort

Ganon:
"Oh it was nothing Gimble. He got what he deserved." He says as he flips a shiny silverly coin into the air catching it and placing it back in his leather pouch before securing it back in it's place.

Toward the city might render more information in the shortest amount of time. She will say pointing that direction.

Glimble "That is sound reasoning let us go that way then."

Cormack, clearly frustrated by the drunken dwarf's behavior, follows Thorax.
Re: 8-Undermountain Trip 4 - SkullPort
You push through the narrow alleys, weaving about, and having to turn back several times when alleys stop artificially. Several times you think you've bumped into something that would attack you: a band of hobgoblins and gnolls, several gangs of men, and even a troll lying against a wall and sleeping one off. However, they barely spare you a glance and move about their business. You continue your trek, and gradually the streets get wider, leading you out into two larger streets. The cave ceiling is so high here you can't see it, and the lights of the larger street make it hard to see much above the roofline of the ramshackle buildings that are typically about 4 flights high. The smoke from small fires in this place also create a haze that is caught by the lights of fires making it look more like a cloudy day in Waterdeep.
Along this main road is a constant stream of people and monsters, engaged in a bustling street trade and milling about. You see several taverns along this main road, their signs too far away to be easily read from the side alley that you are staring out from. They are moving goods, most of them wrapped up to hide their worth. However, something catches your attention pretty quickly. A small group of three illithids (tall humanoids, purple skin, tentacular mouths) are walking silently before a cart which has a iron cage atop it. The cage is pulled by a team of 6 bugbears, and Inside the cage are several disheveled humans, none of the humans cries out or even moves much. They just look broken and tired. It makes you wonder where they are taking them...

Tantos Vek, failled paladin:
Resisting the urge to kill the bugbears in the street, sparking a battle against all the evil denizens of this nightmarish city, Vek simply rasps, "Let's follow them."

Cormack silently nods his agreement.
Re: 8-Undermountain Trip 4 - SkullPort
Thorax too maintains his silence. Following beside Cormack he plays his part. Time is not his ally here. The longer he must wait the more rage builds. Thorax knows this and struggles to contain himself, failure will likely spell everyone death.

Yes, they may lead us to the slave pens by the look of it... she will follow with the party but is taken back by this place and it's denizens. So this is where evil meets... she will say to herself.

Re: 8-Undermountain Trip 4 - SkullPort
Glimble befuddled by this odd place and the fact that nobody has tried to attack the group "Hmm perhaps but I'd be wary of following folk of this type they can be very deadly foes."

Ganon:
"You can say that again Glimble. This place is full of strange and dangerous creatures. What are we supposed to find in this place?" He says as he continues to look around at all the strange inhabitants.

Re: 8-Undermountain Trip 4 - SkullPort
You set off down the street following the rolling cage, but before you get too far you see quite the sight erupting into the street from the swinging doors of a saloon. A long haired fighter kicks a troll out of the front door and then beheads the troll. The troll lies on the ground before him and you hear the fighter exclaim, "Mah bee the next un that grows back ull be smarter than that one!"
Seeing you out in the streets, he points at Vek and yells out to him, "what are you looking at!" he then marches up to you pushes Vek slightly, and then whispers to you all, "Come with me into that alley, I've something important to tell you!" He no longer seems drunk...

"One ugly mug... and I bet yours doesn't grow back. Get in here!" Vek says as he draws his sword and enters the alley.

Glimble "I'd not go in there if I were you." the gnome does not hide his unease of the current situation.

Ganon:
Standing next to Glimble, Ganon watches as the fallen paladin and dwarven warrior enter the alley. "Wise words Glimble. It's a perfect place for an ambush, though it appears that Vek and Thorax don't care. We mustn't let them go alone." he says as he make for the alley himself. Once he reaches the threshold of the alley he uses it's shadows to obscure his presence as he quietly draws his short sword from it's scabbard.

Cormack follows Thorax and Vek. Turning slightly to Glimble he says, "If it is an ambush, I doubt they are ready for the likes of us."
