Act V Search for the Skyfish
Re: Act V Search for the Skyfish
"No worries here, I will need to change my spells I pray for anyway. Stand back and watch the look of panic on their faces."
Morgi then begins to transmute the ground under the dome to Mud.

Re: Act V Search for the Skyfish
The party postulates and postures while they discuss the trapped oddities. After a bit of deliberation and a bit of nonsense, Morgi again decides that the easiest way to deal with these creatures is...to drown them all in mud.
He begins casting his spell as Blodget descends the first few steps into the gnome hideout. The credulous little halfling still hears and sees nothing of the icy gnomes. The room below seems to have been an old cellar of some sort. It is lit up by some so far unseen greenish glow.
Morgi finishes his devastating magic spell and once again, something unexpected happens......
The ground beneath the dome begins to move and shake. The giants, who had taken to tossing the gnome around between the three of them, all fall to their hands and knees, as does the gnome. They stay on all fours for a few seconds and look back and forth at each other until........... the shaking stops.
The three giant sized creatures hold their ears to the frozen ground beneath them. They instantly turn into gnome sized creatures and spread out to equal distances away from each other.
The now four gnome sized creatures look at the party through the dome. The appear to be extremely frightened and seem to be trying to beg for your mercy.

Blodget, halfling thief:
The foolish young hobbit peered out the icicle tower's door to see what was taking everyone, and saw the globe that wouldn't sink.
"Huh? Wait. Oh no! Oh dear! Hurry everyone! Hurry! An Ice Wyrm is coming!" he shouted as he turned and scampered down the stairs!

Re: Act V Search for the Skyfish
Trotter spins! Not another worm, he laments as he readies himself for battle!
Re: Act V Search for the Skyfish
Another Wyrm? Mira looks frantically about. Why do you know this?
Re: Act V Search for the Skyfish
Xano- Moves behind Blodget staying invisible. She whispers to Blodget. I have your back my little friend. Where is this Ice Wyrm coming from?

The foolish young hobbit peered fearfully from the doorway. "It's beneath the globe! The globe is shaking, not sinking! The gnomes can hear the wyrm burrowing beneath them! They know it's coming and are begging us for mercy!" he yelped as he turned and scampered back down the stairs.
The nigh-invisible hobbit silently looked for traps as he descended to see what the strange glow was.

Morgi backs away from the globe, readying himself for the anticipated arrival of the great wyrm.

Re: Act V Search for the Skyfish
After getting everyone thoroughly confused, Blodget and Xano descend the stairs into the green glowing room below. They find no traps at the base of the steps and there is no sign of the three gnomes. They do see the source of the green glow coming from an old shelf on one wall about half way into the room.
Outside, a few moments after the mud spell runs its course, the rumbling stops. The four gnomes still trapped in the dome don't move an inch. They continue to look at the group with horror in their eyes.

The small paladin activates his boots and levitates into the air without a sound.
Greys Campaign.
Re: Act V Search for the Skyfish
Trotter whirls like a dervish looking for the worm.

Blodget, halfling thief:
All eyes and ears, the camouflaged hobbit looked for doors, the rascally, adorable, evil little gnomes, and traps as he soundlessly crept toward the glowing shelf.

Xano - Moves to the glowing shelf while also looking for any signs of the gnomes.
OCC- Can Xano and Blodget see each other since they are invisible?

Wyntar remains still and waits for any tremors that would be caused by a giant worm.
Re: Act V Search for the Skyfish
I believe our stalwart Hobbit Thief mistakes your powers with the rumblings of a Wyrm, Morgi, Mira smiles lightly for a moment. And the permafrost is dampening the effects of your spell. It has served to intimidate the globe's inmates, however. This fills me with joy, the wicked little creatures. She will wait with those topside until the Gnomes' final disposition is arrived at.
Re: Act V Search for the Skyfish
Wyntar feels quite embarrassed after Mira's explanation. Yes, Blodget was wonderfully mistaken. Mira, maybe our gnome friends really need to see a worm coming for them. Maybe then they'd help us. Would you be able to create the illusion of a worm?
Re: Act V Search for the Skyfish
Trotter, satisfied that there is no wyrm after all, goes back to watching the gnomes like a hawk.
Re: Act V Search for the Skyfish
That might indeed coerce these wretches to be more polite, Mira nods, then shrugs. Unfortunately, I can only call on Lolo a limited number of times per day. The real Wyrm squelched my opportunities for today. She pauses a moment, as if reminiscing. He loves me dearly, I know this, yet he weakens each time we come together. I... Her eyes lower, I would extend his assistance, council and comfort my entire life, if I could, even if that means speaking with him for mere moments at a time. She shifts her eyes back to the imprisoned Gnomes, a hint of ruthlessness in her voice. Perhaps we should allow Sir Trotter to have them.

Outside:
The party comes to their senses as Mira explains the hobbits confusion. Her and Wyntar discuss a possible plan to getting some cooperation from the little enemy.
Halo slowly floats up into the air. Again, he sees no sign of another worm or anything else that might be threatening to his party. The tiny ranger spins around with his sword drawn, looking for some way to be useful as the glowing ice tower looms off in the distance behind him.
The four trapped gnomes begin to feel around on the ground inside the dome. They must have realized that the frozen layer of snow and ice above the mud will support them now because they begin to move around again. They all move to the far side of the dome. One of them falls to his knees while the other three gnomes stand and face the party, blocking the kneeling one from your view.
Inside:
The pair of thieves do not fear the hidden gnomes in the least. They continue to make their way through the cellars only room. There is no sign of the little guys at all, although there is plenty of junk lying around that they could be hiding behind.
The only thing of interest in the room that you can see is a green glowing rod, propped up on an old wooden shelf. The rod is small, only about 4 inches in length and one end is shaped like a fishes head. You see no signs of any kind of traps. The green glow is filling the room with an eerie light, casting dim shadows along the edges of your vision.
