Calto the Druid:

Perceiving the ghostly image from the shattered mirror as a premonition and being hesitant to step into the water that now covers the chamber floor, Calto draws his Cloak of the Moon about his shoulders in an attempt to lower the water level.

Alex 'Blade Rain' Vam; Human male Fighter

Alex heaves Leomar's unconscious form over one shoulder and then as the room starts to flood, he just shakes his head and says; "What next?"; in a fatalistic way.

The normally calm Siavel is beginning to let his frustration of the current stalemate get to him. He says nothing as he waits to see what effect that the druid will have on the now partially flooded room.

While he waits, he tries to discern if the water is flowing in a specific direction or possibly draining to a certain spot on the floor that might reveal a hidden hatch or a void below this level.

Tabai takes the water with dignity not even phased a bit after all it could have been far worse.

Azoth Al-Aziz, occultic priest:

The chaotic manner of touching and smashing everything they encountered was anathema to the cautious, orderly disciple. His spidery frame stiffened but he held his grey tongue.

Instead, concerned that the water may find its way down the trapdoor and drown their comrades in the pit, the dark cleric repeated, "What of this door at the bottom of the pit, Bruno the Mad?"

The mirror room is down the hallway from the chamber of the statue-altar. Those in the latter room may hear the smash of glass, but not know what exactly is going on. The inch of water on the mirror room floor doesn't get deeper as the flow of water from behind the mirror stopped.
In the mirror room, Calto the druid draws upon the mystic power of his Cloak of the Moon to magically effect the tide level of the water. It lowers by about half; half-an-inch of water remains. The mirror door into the hallway leading to the statue-altar chamber is raised higher than the threshold of the water, so none of the liquid has made it into that room.

Down the hallway in the chamber of the statue-altar, Bruno hears Azoth's inquiry about the door at the bottom of the pit. The thief-acrobat maneuvers down into the pit, balancing carefully to avoid the spikes, and sees the door is a simple affair with a latch that doesn't appear to have a lock mechanism.

Calto the Druid:

Still leery about the water in the 'mirror chamber', Calto unsheaths his wooden scimitar and touches its tip to the water.
Hopefully Cato is just being overly cautious and a bit paranoid. If nothing comes of prodding the water, he will hastily makes his way to rejoin the group, making sure his bat-friend is in tow.

Calto stirs the water and thankfully no unusual effects are seen. He makes his way to the others with friend bat fluttering along.

sorry I stopped getting updates for some reason but am all caught up now.

Bruno once at the bottom of the pit will nod that he has heard the ranger and will not open the door before the human arrives. He will instead examine how the spikes are secured to the base of the pit and if they can be removed for safer descent by his less ..... skilled ..... Friends and colleagues. :D

The gnome will then, WITHOUT TOUCHING, examine the door for traps.

Siavel watches for patterns in the water in the mirror room. The elf sees some water slowly draining from general cracks in the stone floor, which he deems typical of this ancient structure. There is no pattern indicating a trap door or other outlet.

Bruno waits while Kitchi the ranger climbs down the rope into the pit, carefully navigating the spikes. The gnome studies the wooden spikes and sees they are inserted into holes in the floor. It may be possible to pull them out; if not, they could be sawed or hacked down. The thief-acrobat surmises that the dried poison coating them is quite old and may be less efficacious.

The door at the bottom of the pit appears locked.
I'm okay with thieves making their thief roll skills, so feel free to include those in the future.

Tabai continues to watch the progress in the pit with Kitchi trying to dismantle the trap apparently.

am cool with making pick pockets , open locks, climb walls and read languages rolls as I would know the success of those when attempted, but I would prefer if you rolled for find traps, move silently, hide in shadows and hear noise rolls as I wouldn't know if these were successful necessarily and it takes away something when you do know if you succeeded with your check, IMO. If that's ok.

Bruno agrees that getting rid of the spikes is likely wise, and begins trying to do so. After his trap inspection the burglar-acrobat gets out his picks and begins to try and open the lock.

Siavel

At least the water doesn't seem to be dangerous to us like everything else we touch in here.

I hope that door down there leads us to somewhere that we actually need to be and isn't just another damnable trap.

Calto the Druid:

Calto returns to the group and stands at the edge of the pit, intrigued at the skill of his more nimble companions. He relays to the others what was uncovered in the 'mirror chamber',"The remaining mirrors revealed nothing of help to us. Just more false leads and witchery."

Grindhelm the Dwarf

Looking around, Grindhelm sighs at the water and continues guarding, asking when it's going to be safe to go down. "I don't mean to rush, but... we kind of need to rush. I'll go down there and break it all if I need to."

Bruno finds the spikes come out of their holes with a sturdy pull and twist. He spends some time clearing the area. Kitchi the ranger then joins Bruno at the bottom. The thief-acrobat turns his attention to the door. He observes no traps. He applies his picks and deft fingers to unlock the door.
