Siavel wishes he would have chosen his daily magic better.

Good heavens! What is happening now?

He and Surge draw a bit closer to get a look at what has just transpired.

Is someone injured?

I think we should think about just getting the hell out of this trap infested level before we're all dead.

Kitchi- Looks down at his friend and speaks. If we drop the rope down will you be able to tie it around yourself? If not I will come down and help you.

Isn't he unconscious at -5 hp? I always thought that you went under at 0. We have 5 rounds to get to him, or else...

Yes that is what I thought Grognardsw said. Maybe Dogma got a PM from Grog.

Azoth Al-Aziz, occultic priest:

His healing magic spent, Azoth had nothing to offer but advice. "Don't use the statue as an anchor.
"And let's please agree to not touch anything further in this place?"

At Siavel's suggestion to bypass this level, the sardonic sage bit his grey tongue and recalled...

"Well said," concurred the cleric, darkly. "Shall we descend the newly found stairs?"

Calto turns to his companions, "I think it best that we explore this level before delving deeper into the shrine. We may leave behind important findings and treasures if we proceed down the stairs before fully exploring. Let us investigate the first secret door and see what awaits us there." Pitch the bat twitters and dives about the room as the party comes to a decision.

I agree with Siavel. I think we should clear things level by level.

Per DMG, 0 HP is unconscious, -1 is out and bleeding to death, loosing 1 HP per round until -10 and death. At -5 Leomar is unconcious and bleeding out. He can be stabilized by any character (staunching the wounds, etc.) which stops the HP loss.
Image

Leomar strikes the bottom of the pit, is gouged by spikes and sinks into oblivion. He imagines himself saying he's alright.

Calto quickly draws out rope from his backpack and others help hold the rope (after warning from Azoth not to secure it to the altar statue). Kitchi the ranger nimbly climbs down, gingerly grabs Leomar while balancing between spikes, and together they are pulled up. While down there, Kitchi saw bones among the spiked floor and a small door in the south wall of the pit.

Leomar now lies on the floor. Blood is flowing from his wounds (-6 HP.) Cleric and druid staunch the wounds to prevent him from bleeding out to death.
The process of pulling up Leomar took a round, hence he lost 1 HP, to -6.

Calto the Druid:

As the thief is hauled up from the depths of the spiked pit and gently lowered to the chamber floor, Calto rushes over to staunch his wounds. The punctures in Leomar's body are deep and bleed profusely. Calto realizes how dire the man's condition is and immediately calls upon the healing aid of Mother Earth in an attempt to bring the theif back from the embrace of death. He leans over the prone and broken form of his comrade and utters an eldritch incantation to once again seal his flesh.
Calto casts CLW on Leomar.

Cure Light Wounds [1d8] = 4

Ugggghh. He's still down. Guys, that's the last of them for now. Be extra careful until we can rest...again. :)

Tabai will attempt his skill that he used once before on Leomar. Trying to bind his wounds so that he does not bleed out.

Grindhelm the Dwarf

Seeing the body closer, Grindhelm feels a pang of sadness, gripping tightly on the skull on his shoulder. Giving a sigh, he bends down and assists in cleaning the wounds and making sure they will lead to a smooth recovery. "C'mon, kid, you're gonna make it." he whispers. "Anyone else got doo-dads to contribute?" he calls to the others, looking towards the more magical ones of the group

Alex 'Blade Rain' Vam; Human male Fighter

Alex will help gently move Leomar and set him down wherever the healers say is the best place to lay him down, but other than that, there is little he can do to help. He's anger, frustrated and wanting to be AWAY from this accursed place; but since the situation is unlikely to change anytime soon; there's little he can do but take a deep breath and keep an alert eye out for anything that might attempt to sneak up on them....

Looks like we might have to stay put again. Unless someone has some other type of healing. I'm tapped. What about the dried heart we found in the gibbering mouther chamber? Think it might be used for healing?

I'm not sure. But it is worth a try perhaps?

Siavel allows his pet to climb down into the pit to rummage around in the spike drippings.

I'm not much in the healing department, unfortunately. I suppose I could search my magic sack for a healing potion if we are really desperate.

There is no way I'm sitting around doing nothing in this horrid place for another day or two like we just did. I will lead a smaller group myself if you all want to sit around again. We need to get this over with before I turn into a dwarf in this stoney crypt .....or something even worse!

The normally calm elf seems to be getting a bit more agitated lately.

Grog,
I can't find your PM that told Azoth what the heart's power was. Or the powers of other stuff we found in the room of He Who Gibbers.
Can you please re-send?
Thanks.

Kitchi- Gets his friend back up from the pit. Someone heal him. I have my healing tobacco, but I do not think he is any condition to smoke it properly. He looks down the pit. There is a door down there. And lots of bones.

Surge carefully explores the pit bottom and finds old bones and a few native clothes, but nothing of worth.

Bruno sees the pit wall can be climbes, or go down by rope. The bottom Is tough to navigate.

There is the door at the bottom, and a suspected hidden compartment in the altar base.
Inferno, the potion was a potion of strength, imbued by Bruno. It made Azoth feel stronger with the tasting, which was interpreted as healing. The heart was by PM, which I'll send again. Yes, Kitchi's pipeweed of healing was refused back then by Tabai, so he still has a packet of the pipeweed left.
