If not, maybe a pole arm could—and it's 3gp cheaper, too!

I own the entire B-series of modules in PDF, but, no. I haven't even looked at that one yet.

No, sorry. I really can't imagine a scenario in which I can picture that.

Maybe a pole arm, but most likely only for the first attack. Once the bad guy is within its reach, I can't see how it would be effective... unless you're talking about standing in the third or fourth ranks. ;)

A spear or staff would be more likely.

On our next action: Relve has a lantern, so maybe he should go back down first, with the following order behind?

Xhalh
Lúthon
Malfindel
Bingus
Rummus
Dorin

I'm having major issues with my real job, and will likely be working on them for several more hours yet tonight. There is a very good chance I will not be able to update tonight. I might, but it's not looking good.

That's okay. The Thanksgiving week slowdown seems to be in full force on the boards. :)

BTW, these are the first characters in this game I've played who would actually engage in combat. I apologize for not paying attention earlier (or going back to look), but do you prefer rolls in public or in private forums, and should we just roll like normal if you haven't told us monster AC? I forgot what the attack roll options were.

And they continue for me. I do plan on updating again tomorrow during the day, but probably won't really push the action along until next week. I have a meeting for my kids' school on Monday night, so I wouldn't expect this game to resume in earnest until next Tuesday (12/01).

The "Target 20" system is very easy to adjudicate as a DM, which I like, but I don't think I will ever get used to provide the AC of any opponent up front -- so, feel free to remind me if/when I do forget.

That, or I'm not opposed to scrapping the T-20 system and just reverting back to the "normal" method of determining attack roll outcomes.

As for public or private? Whatever you're more comfortable with. It's easiest for me when the rolls are included in the public post (either wrapped in a spoiler tag or not), but I'm perfectly fine to fetch the rolls out of private forums if they're posted there (which is what 6 out of 7 of my 2e players do).

That would be easier for me, anyway, since this is the only game I'm in that uses this system.

How about we put it this way: Is there anyone that would object scrapping the Target 20 system?

If not, since this is a relative fresh start to the game, we'll scrap it and everyone will make and determine attack rolls as normal.

I wasn't able to log in at all yesterday, and only sparingly over the break, so I have a lot of catching up to do.

I will do my best to update the game again tonight, but there's a chance I may not get to it until tomorrow.

I am being pulled in a million different directions right now, so there is a chance I might not be able to update this game tonight.

I still plan on it... it just might not happen. Sorry!
