Morgi will cast detect magic on the wand, CLW on Xano and CSW on Halo before resting and praying for spells again. (same list for him.)

[1d8] = 5 CLW
[2d8+1] = 8+1 = 9 cure serious

When Halo utters the word "Buzz", the fly instantly grows to the size of a pony and becomes animated. It stands at the ready for the paladin to mount it, if he would like to take a little time to get the hang of riding it.

Morgi spreads his gift of natural healing and holistic medicine to Xano and Halo, bringing their health up and mending some of their ills. He then detects if the eagle rod is magical, it glows with a soft blue light, indicating that it is.

Halo will raise his eyebrows and smile. "What do you know Xano, you did it! How any do you think the fly will carry? I shall call him Jeff!"

If any of the spell users have a spell that might let us know what the command words are or what else it can do it would be most appreciated.

Halo will try and scramble up onto Jeff and say "Up"

Mira turns to see the huge insect suddenly appear, her eyes wide first with surprise, then approval. One mystery solved, excellent! She moves slowly to Xano, her hand politely outstretched, eyes on the odd rod. May I?

Halo tries in vain to get his new mount, Jeff, to take off. If only he could remember back to when he first started experimenting with the command words.

When the cave is cleaned up, the dwarves begin heading down into a few of the tunnels. After a short while you can hear them shouting for joy at the fact that the giants were too large to get back into some of their good veins. They each walk out with another huge rock of silver ore and toss them into their pile.

Halo is nearly jerked off the thing when he mutters the word Fly. The magical black fly takes off into the air at astounding speed with the little halfling on its back. It flies out through the cave enterance and out into the dark, foreboding skies. Even though it is still only midday, the sky is almost as dark as it is at dawn.

If the paladin would like to spend some time getting the hang of how his new mount works, he could learn the ropes fairly quickly and even teach himself how to safely fight from the thing. It seems a far better way to pass the time than watching wizards read their books, anyway.

Movement Rate:
48" unencumbered
36" up to 210 lbs
24" 211 to 350 lbs

Can be activated 3 times per week for up to 12 hours at a time.

Is the plan to rest here for the entire day, regaining spells etc., and then head through the tunnel in the morning?

If that is the case, go ahead and do anything else you would like for today while Halo experiments with his new mount.

Once everyone is ready and spell lists have been selected, we can fast forward to morning. (I already have Morgi and Wyntar's list)
