"Good night Sir Ugghra," says Orando.

The enchantress steps to the bar, orders a drink, leaves a large tip, and asks about rumors of disappearances in town. Barkeeps are suppose to be sources of good information, she thinks. Perhaps he will be helpful.

Yon gives you a surprised expression at the generous tip and thanks you kindly.

Well thank you lass! I must say that we don't get many pretty elf folk around here that often. You may be the purtiest one I've ever seen if you want the truth.

I can't say that I know much at all about the missing folk. I guess I figure that every town has its share of problems, folks going missing every now and again seems to be ours. It ain't affected my family, thank Pelor, so I guess I don't really think about it that much. Bad for business I guess.

Say now, was that yer brother in here before? You know, the one who rented the room?

"No not my brother," answers Orando while sipping her drink. She bids the others a good night with a nod, and tells Sir Ugghra she will help question Brother Thomas, perhaps even charm him with her...good looks. Then Orando looks about the tavern room to see what townies and adventurer types are here tonight.

The comely elf takes out her lute, strums and sings a song.

At dinner last night, Ugghra said he planned to see Tomas and Teneel today.

"Fear not, Ugghra, I have no plans to kill the man, I just wish to talk with him separately. You will still be able to get your questions in later."

On her way to the Militia House early the next morning, Epi passes the Temple. She sees the good Brother Tomas outside as she passes the hill. He gives her a friendly wave and shouts a heartfelt Good morning my dear!!!

She waves to the old man and moves on to the south.

At breakfast that morning with the party, a more martial looking Orando, hair tied back, says, "last night I saw but was unseen, and heard without being heard. Here is what I learned..."

As the evening passes, the place seems quite calm and quiet for a small town tavern. There is literally no debauchery going on of any kind. You surmise that Yon must run a pretty tight ship when it comes to his patrons actions.

Later in the evening, a pair of farmer types come in and get a friendly welcome from Yon, indicating their regularity in his place. They chat for a while about the latest "goings on" in town.

You learn things like:

The crotchety old Mayor has gotten so bad that she don't even leave her home anymore. She must have hired another group of "investigators" to sort out the missing persons because there is more strangers around asking questions. It won't be long until they've disappeared too, just like the last group.

This new group is poking around asking about the Wizards tower. Only a damn fool would go anywhere near that place.

Old Tomas isn't doing very well again. Seems like it's just a matter of time before he will be in the ground too. I don't think Ernie is quite ready to take over the reigns.

That dirtbag Pitchfork has all the rowdy blacksmith types celebrating something again. I wouldn't go into that place at night if you paid me. The place is packed full of killers and thieves. The new sheriff will put a stop to whatever they're doing in there to be bringing all that coin.
