The actions already stated move you into and investigating the next room. You can of course stop, heal, rest or whatnot.
Calto the druid gives prayer over the wounded dwarf and Grindhelm feels healing power surge through him, repairing gashes and bruises from the combat against the centaur-mummy and stone statue.

Tabai the jungle barbarian learns hand signals from Bruno, hoping to achieve rudimentary communication in absence of Siavel's translation spell. Tabai also ponders his massive spear gained from the centaur-mummy. He has used it now several times in combat. It remains heavy and unweildy at 12' long. He does not think it magical.

Calto then gathers an ancient cracked tray from the heap of show-treasure and lays out six bats he hopes to save. He and Azoth put other bat survivors out of their misery.

Meanwhile, Bruno the gnome thief-acrobat checks the stairwell for traps. He prods, pokes and presses each step, looks for triggers and seams, listens for clicks, and finds none. After the all clear from Bruno, the rest of the party move into the chamber. Siavel, Azoth and Calto remain at the top of the steps talking about a possible rest break. It has been a hazardous journey given how far they've come.

Siavel's unseen porter stands before the west fountain, while Grindhelm tosses a stone into its water. It sinks to the bottom with no evidence of the liquid being acidic. There is the dry east fountain and the north well whose top is covered by a pewter basin. The adventurers haven't seen such amounts of worked metal in this primitive culture.

The unseen servant pokes at the crayfish within the west fountain...

Bruno backflips away from the creature made of water quickly.

"I don't suppose one of you spelly types has a limerick to vapourise water doo ya?" says the gnomish burglar-acrobat with a rye wink.

"It probably can't move very far from its source, we may be able to kill it from a distance!"

Kitchi- Moves back towards the steps to get above the water creature. Pulls his and readies a arrow. If it attacks, he will fire at it. What is it? Is there any writing on the fountain?

"I have no such limericks prepared, Bruno the Mad," the cleric said darkly. "But perhaps if we were able to withdraw, rest and recover our magic power, a simple spell that purifies water would be enough to vex this aquatic anomaly.
"I agree that it may be unable to follow our retreat."

"We race not against Time. Let us be deliberate in our actions, and act with all possible advantages at our command," the priest counseled as he kept his distance.

Calto, Water Wizard, Druid

"Ah, I think I have just the enchantment my nimble friend...."

The druid calls upon his cloak of the moon to lower the water levels in the fountain.

As low as possible please.

The gnome will chatter in burrowing mammal to the weasel and see if he can communicate with it once he has backed out of the chamber to the stairs.

Just to see if he can :)

The wary adventurers are not surprised as they leap back from the lunging serpent of water. Kitchi the ranger fires an arrow at the creature but it parts in two and the arrow passes through air.

The others rush back hoping to get out of range of the watery threat. Calto the druid sweeps his Cloak of the Moon and calls forth its tide-changing powers, lowering the level of the weird's water inside the fountain. It reduces in size about a quarter from its initial 10' length.

Up the stairway, Bruno the Mad tries conversing with the giant weasel. It doesn't appear to understand the chittering gnome, but the weasel does lick him. Given the party is up the stairs, the water weird cannot reach for a successful attack.
- Water Weird surprise party? 1-2/6 [1d6] = 6 No.
- Initiative: Party [1d6] = 5 vs. Monsters [1d6] = 1 Party wins.
- The water lowering feature of the Cloak of the Moon lowers water up to a quarter of its depth per use. It can be used twice a day. Losing a quarter of its water is equal to a quarter of its HP and reduces its size by one-quarter.
- Good use of the magic item. Everyone has some interesting items which shouldn't be forgotten.
- Kitchi bow attack on water weird [1d20+1] = 9+1 = 10, [1d6] = 3 Miss. Feel free to include attack rolls even if conditional on others' actions.
- Siavel's Panguine Loyal Porter duration left: 15 rounds.
- Siavel's Thrasdrubal's Terrific Translator duration left: 7 rounds. (for talking with Tabai.)

Grindhelm the Dwarf

Grindhelm backs up a fair distance to avoid this creature, not having any decent ways to attack without risking some effect he doesn't know about that could practically kill him. "Ranged, take it out! We know not what it's capable of!"

Kitchi looks over well that holds the Water Serpent to see if there is any way that may drain the water from the well.

Calto, Druid

"Hmm. I think we should attempt to drain the water from the basin. Without a body, this creature should pose no threat."

The druid strokes his beard.

"And perhaps it is guarding something hidden within the fountain?"Calto shrugs.

"In the meantime, my magics can make its bark worse than its bite."

Lowering water levels again.

The druid then begins to care for his little bat friends. Wrapping the wounded and feeding the hungry from his rations.

Siavel commands his unseen servant to move to the north well with the pewter basin. It tries to lift off the basin and carry it over to the west fountain containing the strange water monster. If it can, it starts bailing the water out to see if that affects the creature within.

If the basin is too heavy for the porter to lift or carry, he simply begins splashing the water out of the fountain by hand.

Be careful who you lick in here Surge! That gnome is a bit.........unstable, the mage says with a smirk.

Grindhelm calls for missile attacks on the watery menace. With his Cloak of the Moon, Calto agains shifts the tide level with the fountain, reducing the water by another quarter. The water weird is half its original size now. It's reach is even less now. It may be possible to edge around it by pressing to the east going down the stairs.

Siavel's unseen porter lifts the pewter basin from the north well. It is heavy; it lifts one end slowly, causing it to tumble off the well top onto the floor. There is a glow from inside the well. From the stairs, the adventurers cannot see into the well.

Bruno the gnome, looking for something to cover the fountain, realizes the basin may do.

The invisible servant than scoops out water from the well. Suddenly the water weird strikes, attempting to envelope the unseen force emptying its fountain. The watery serpent cannot grasp what is a insubstantial magical energy and eventually the fountain is emptied enough that the weird is an ineffective watery worm.
According to the spell, the servant cannot be killed except by magic damage of 6 HP. In this case of water attack, its safe.

Leomar will cautiously approach the north well and very carefully peak over the edge to see what is causing the glow.

With the water weird neutralized, Kitchi and Blade Rain peer into the north fountain. A mere water worm squirms. There are a scattering of onyx chips and five gems, which in the experienced eyes of the adventurers they estimate to be worth 50 gp each.

Leomar the thief peers down the well and sees a long shaft going down, perhaps 50' and opening into what could be another chamber. The glow is from light coming up from near the bottom of the shaft. The shaft is about 5' wide, rough stone, with no handholds.
