Elsa, fighter

"Beware!"

The half-orc raises her shield and shifts to the side, half-expecting spears or something to shoot out of the slots.
Elsa was healed by Xale way back for 8 bringing her to 45 HP. I had mentioned it back then in a spoiler when I saw the HP status line, and just noticed the old number now.

Dredd Doomsmith, dwarf trap-hacker:

"Thank ye, lass."
Minding the slots with the well-honed suspicion of a dwarf - let alone a dwarven deathtrapsmith - Dredd searches the slotted door for traps as he rumbles thickly, "This will take a moment. Ye lot might do well to search for secret doors again!"

Xale does her best to get used to her new form; but stands ready with Shield and Hammer as Dredd examines the slots....

Dredd does what Dredd does. Dredd finds no traps on the door.

Dredd Doomsmith, dwarven trap-hacker:

Dredd shares his findings, or lack thereof, and then heeds his own advice and looks for secret doors in this corridor.

"Shall I open the door?" asks Zoster. He'll listen at the door for any noise beyond while the party decides and Dredd searches for traps.

Zoster can hear nothing through the solid metal door.

Worren stands by waiting to see what the group elects to do next. The constant threat of death or worse in this tomb has paralyzed him.

Zoster suggests sticking a sword in one of the slots. " I would, but I don't have one."

While he waits, he examines the door for any hidden writing or clues on how to open it. He will also look to see if there's anything that would prevent his transition of metal to wood spell from working.

The door appears to be completely featureless except for the three slots.

"Stupid door" mutters Zoster as he begins to look for secret doors near the big metal one.

I assume the door weighs more than 90 pounds...is this likely?

The door is about 8' tall and 5' wide, so it's probably heavier than 90 lbs., yes.

"Anyone dare to stick a sword in one of the slots?" asks Zoster.

Malibran rubs his chin, "Swords are not condoned by my high lord and savior - men of faith serve justice with their wit and weighty hammers. I daresay it makes sense as we have seen no other such slotted key that would serve. Of course, the riddle refers to a key, but the Light knows if that is meant for here or somewhere else.... Time ticks by and but the worst that can befall us is death in the service of our Lord... what other options do we have other than to brave a portal of mist that has proven trick-some. Could we slot a sword from a distance in some way to confound the trap that likely lies in wait?"

"Well then, here is a trident," says Elsa the Fair. "Men like to stick their swords in slots anytime they have the chance, even if its a bad idea."
