OOC

#1 Post by rredmond »

Out of Character posts. I'm not sure how often I'll peek in here.
But the Action Post threads I'm going to try and keep clean, it'll be one Action Post, per PC, per round or turn (depending on if you are in melee or not).
This is for anything not fitting anywhere else. :)
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Hope things come together man.

I put up better pics of the outside of the Steading and the "Spy's Map". I know some of your couldn't see the other pictures.

Everybody good with a kick off of next week? :D

I don't think Stirling has built his character yet; he just has the chargen rolls in the character post.

I'm worried too about Nuke having the time to be ready

Once we start, I want to be sure everyone is ready to go. If I get a chance today or tomorrow, I'll put some more background info up to get everyone ready.

Two of the PCs are not completed yet. But I'll PM blast everyone. I was planning getting the final planning stages of the game up this weekend. But once we start, I'm going to really try to stick to a two post per week (DM Posts on Mondays and Thursdays) schedule.

Let's do this. I'll have all the background prep done before Monday. Everyone's character and anything they want to have on their person, and spells memorized, and etc needs to be completed by Wednesday. Thursday morning I'll post and the mission begins.

Begin planning in this manner, the PCs are brought together and learn about the mission. You have a day to prepare. Then, after a good night's sleep, it's about a 9 or 10 hour horseback ride to your safehouse (or rather safecave) near the Steading. At that point, which will be dusk in the game, your mission begins. Any time wasted is on the party. Every DM post (on Monday and Thursday) will equal a Turn (10 minutes) or more depending on the situation, unless you are in combat.

I'll rewrite this in the game introduction thread, but for planning purposes I wanted to let you all know. The day to prepare is when you can gather all your stuff (if you don't get it now, and it isn't on your character sheet, you didn't bring it - later on you can say "but it would've made sense for us to bring at least 50' of rope" - if it isn't on the character sheet by Wednesday night, you ain't got it) and cast any preparatory spells that you want. It's only one day, but you can rest the night and get all your spells back. Don't worry about figuring food and spellbooks into encumbrance, those will be left with the horses at your safecave.

Let me know if there are any questions. Thursday, at the latest, is zero hour. Sorry for the messy start, the game will have more flow and organization.

Hi,
I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow. Will be back on Tuesday, April 7.
Please NPC my character for me while I'm gone.

In my absence, my Human Pixie needs the Boots of Elvenkind and the Cloak of Elvenkind! Looking to trade with any PC or the DM for them. Thanks!

Best,
Inferno

Alright, let's start the horse trading here....

I have sword +2, splint mail +2, elven cloak and boots, scroll (cont. light, hold monster) that I would like to trade off.

I would really like the crossbow of speed from pack #9, who ever grabs that one.

I'd be happy to take the Elven Cloak and/or boots; but I really don't have much to trade now that I switched to Package 6. Want a Potion or two?

Sorry I wasn't so responsive this week. The State is trying to take $2 million worth of business from my agency. I'm trying to head that off, as it mostly falls in my shop. :D 2pm is my big meeting, one way or the other, I'll have more time to game after then. ;)

Trying to resolve stuff today, still want to move you forward a turn, but since I missed some requests I may be more forgiving... we'll see what we can do.

Thanks everyone for understanding!

Just FYI, I'll be traveling this weekend, leaving Friday morning and returning Monday evening. I'll have my laptop, but I don't know what kind of time and connection I'll get, so I may not be able to post until Tuesday.
