Questions for the DM

#1 Post by rredmond »

I'll check this regularly. Any rulings or clarifications I make will go into the RULES thread.
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Hey there amigo; would it be okay to say that my Thief/Cleric had in the recent past cast Continual Light on the inside surface of his hooded lantern? Namely, so we have a concealable light source that doesn't need fuel? Just a thought!

Absolutely. I know Inferno is bringing along animal friends as well. :D

May I make a suggestion? Cast the continual light upon a small stone that is then placed into the lantern. It can then be removed from the lantern if desired and used in other ways. Just an idea.

I thought about that; but figured it might rattle around and be a 'give-away' if we're trying to scout. Hmmm......perhaps a carved piece of wood made JUST the right size to fit in the lantern and then not move much?

Good point. I guess it depends on how evil the DM is feeling at any time. :D

It is to eliminate the threat of giants marauding and raiding. So it will certainly involve killing Giants. More than likely your leaders would prefer the more giants dead the better. But they need to be taught a lesson that they can't just attack your lands without fear of reprisal. The secondary mission is to find out why they are all of a sudden acting in a coordinated and organized manner, with other types of giants, when they never have before.

Hi,

Did the Sprites retrieve their Sleep Arrows from the two giants? If not, would they be visible to the ogres?

They didn't retrieve them, but the ogres aren't likely to see them either.
They gotta be tiny, and (AFAICT) they are one shot kind of things.

Pretty sure they magically turn into pixie dust sprite dust after they hit, so all they might note is that the giants have glitter on their faces and make assumptions accordingly...

Don't bother looking that up; it's an obscure feature.

Kitchen attack:

Thought Phaeus was able to rush in and attack alongside Herzog. Rolled his attack die on the forum but didn't have time to put them up.

Okay if he only can go now, with it being a surprise round can he do 2 attacks now? At his level he does 3/2 attacks?

Figured you guys were waiting to ensure the thieves got off their back stabs.
But two attacks now is fine
