Questions for the DM
Questions for the DM
I'll check this regularly. Any rulings or clarifications I make will go into the RULES thread.
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Re: Questions for the DM
Hey there amigo; would it be okay to say that my Thief/Cleric had in the recent past cast Continual Light on the inside surface of his hooded lantern? Namely, so we have a concealable light source that doesn't need fuel? Just a thought!
Re: Questions for the DM
Absolutely. I know Inferno is bringing along animal friends as well.max_vale wrote:Hey there amigo; would it be okay to say that my Thief/Cleric had in the recent past cast Continual Light on the inside surface of his hooded lantern? Re: Questions for the DM
May I make a suggestion? Cast the continual light upon a small stone that is then placed into the lantern. It can then be removed from the lantern if desired and used in other ways. Just an idea.max_vale wrote:Hey there amigo; would it be okay to say that my Thief/Cleric had in the recent past cast Continual Light on the inside surface of his hooded lantern? "Sir, our research shows that the bird is equal to or greater than the word."
Re: Questions for the DM
I thought about that; but figured it might rattle around and be a 'give-away' if we're trying to scout. Hmmm......perhaps a carved piece of wood made JUST the right size to fit in the lantern and then not move much?
Re: Questions for the DM
Good point. I guess it depends on how evil the DM is feeling at any time.

Re: Questions for the DM
Then cast it on a bit of fabric and stick that in the lantern, yah?

Re: Questions for the DM
Rredmond, I'm leaving tomorrow on a work trip and will be back Monday night.
If I'm slow to respond, please NPC Jack for me to keep things moving along. Thanks.
Best,
Inferno

Re: Questions for the DM
I just want to clarify our mission.....I assume it is to eliminate the threat.....as in kill giants
Re: Questions for the DM
It is to eliminate the threat of giants marauding and raiding. So it will certainly involve killing Giants. More than likely your leaders would prefer the more giants dead the better. But they need to be taught a lesson that they can't just attack your lands without fear of reprisal. The secondary mission is to find out why they are all of a sudden acting in a coordinated and organized manner, with other types of giants, when they never have before.Nuke66 wrote:I just want to clarify our mission.....I assume it is to eliminate the threat.....as in kill giants

Re: Questions for the DM
Hi,
Did the Sprites retrieve their Sleep Arrows from the two giants? If not, would they be visible to the ogres?

Re: Questions for the DM
They didn't retrieve them, but the ogres aren't likely to see them either.Inferno wrote:Hi,

They gotta be tiny, and (AFAICT) they are one shot kind of things.

Re: Questions for the DM
Pretty sure they magically turn into pixie dust sprite dust after they hit, so all they might note is that the giants have glitter on their faces and make assumptions accordingly...rredmond wrote:They didn't retrieve them, but the ogres aren't likely to see them either.Inferno wrote:Hi,

Don't bother looking that up; it's an obscure feature.

Kitchen attack:
Thought Phaeus was able to rush in and attack alongside Herzog. Rolled his attack die on the forum but didn't have time to put them up.
Okay if he only can go now, with it being a surprise round can he do 2 attacks now? At his level he does 3/2 attacks?

Re: Questions for the DM
Figured you guys were waiting to ensure the thieves got off their back stabs.
But two attacks now is fine
