Wyntar

That rabbit is not for dinner but rather our ride...of course I'll need to charm it first. I believe a Roc or other large avian would work. Let us find a place to rest this evening..

Morgi responds. "I see, a polymorph is the plan then. I don't think a rabbit is quite big enough to do it though."

"And besides, we should determine our foe before we think to rest."

Xano- Morgi was there anything around the area when you first were attacked? How far were you from the tower? Xano will use her elven vision and Mira's spell to look as far as she can.

Or we could just ask him what his name is.

The monk will speak with the rabbit.
Hey little fellow, do not be alarmed. We mean you no harm. What is your name? My friends here call me Rabbit, but I don't think that will do when speaking with you, sir. How about you call me Monk? Have you seen any creatures in the area recently that don't normally live in this region?

Xano can't see anything unusual in the darkening sky. It is getting late in the evening now, nearly dark. The tower is still at least two days away on foot.

Wyntar thinks he's come up with a better travel solution but needs to rest and recover different spells first. Perhaps you could be there by mid day tomorrow?

Rabbit uses his monk abilities and speaks with the frightened little rabbit.

My name Peter of course. Don't see anything unusual. I am just rabbit, I like to eat, crap, and reproduce.

Don't we all" mutters the paladin, looking for a defensible place to rest here abouts.

Halo will open his senses to the emanations of evil around him, hoping that whatever unseen thing attacked our Druid friend can be detected this way.

"Did you get a good sense of what it was that hurt you Morgi?" he asks whilst he scans.

Morgi tries to explain what he saw.

"I was just scouting and it all happened so fast. I saw a yellow misty vapor forming in mid air. There was also three orangish, glowing, triangular shapes and what looked like wispy tentacles lashing out and hitting me. I didn't feel anything but pain. It was invisible, floating or flying in mid-air."

If Mister Rabbit spoke on behalf of Peter, Blodget quickly offered the bunny some food. As for the other two, Peter was on his own.

"Can we keep him? Huh, can we?"

So whatever is was, it definitely was no invisible structure of any sort. Mira observes. This begs the question if it attacks only flighted creatures, or those of us grounded as well. It also makes me wonder if this is possibly due to someone spying on us?

Thomas will continue to follow along with the plans of the group.

Sorry for the absence everyone! Hopefully I'm back now though...

Read over everything and I don't think that Thomas would have voiced anything from these talks anyway so please don't feel like my post is a cop out! Nothing is happening that he is a part of yet, now when we meet those invisible things... well.

Wyntar nods his head in agreeance with Mira, I fear there are unwanted eyes on us as well, but that was only to be expected. This new rabbit of ours will prove very useful tomorrow, but rest is needed now!

Xano - What happens if we are attacked in mid air tomorrow? Most of us will most definitely die we are attacked. I think that Mira mist will only act as a target flying through the air. Any ideas on how to defend ourselves?

You see an abandoned cave nearby that you should all be able to fit into.

As the holy warrior scans the sky with his power of detection, the only sense of evil he picks up on is emanating from the bunny.

 (just kidding, there is no evil around)

Wyntar contemplates Xano's questions...I empathize with your thoughts, but I do not anticipate this creature to attack our whole group. Plus, Morgi out distanced the tentacled mist to get back to us without being persued.

Xano- Morgi please let us know tomorrow when we are at the area in which you were attacked. So we can be on our guard. It may of been guarding the tower.

i believe so. With double 3 hour watches, Halo is willing to take any watch, perhaps first with perhaps Rabbit, then Blodget and Xano, then Trotter and perhaps Thomas (who could get an early start on memorising his magic perhaps - needing more time as the clergy do) If anyone has any warding magic that might help, invisibility 10' radius maybe, glyph of warding or wyvern watch, snare, magic mouth warding stones etc that might help.

Once inside the cave and reasonably comfortable, Mira releases concentration of her illusionary mist, allowing it to dissipate as fog would naturally, and casts Invisibility, 10' radius.

Per Spectral Force, the mist should last 3 rounds after concentration ceases.

Blodget, halfling thief:

Blodget was relieved and thrilled they were finally ceasing their torturous pace. He broke out his pots and pans, laid out what foodstuffs he had packed, and began to plan a scrumptious meal for them all. He'd get a fire roaring first, good and hot, and then get the kettle on and then...

...he was rendered invisible.

"Um... is anyone else at all a bit peckish? Or is it just me?" he smiled weakly.
