The door opens to a strange sight, but strange is the norm in this dungeon. A stream of water (with a few fish!) runs through this room suspended in mid air.

The stream enters & leaves through holes in the wall.

There are even a few, small , tow-man boats along one wall.

Asaahn rasped, "Dare we trust this enchanted river?"

"If not, I can fireball the aquarium room, destroying the glass walls and most of the inhabitants. Hopefully the water pressure would burst the door at the bottom of the inverted ziggurat of the clue-poem."

Riagrin, Halfling Thief

Hmm. Curiouser and curiouser, says the diminutive vintner/ locksmith, as she sticks her hand in the water, feeling the rate of flow.

How fast is the water running? Can she put her hand in the water from the bottom or the side? Does she notice anything unusual (aside from what has already been described)?

The water has quite a current, it pushes your hand. You figure it would push the boats along quite well.

Riagrin, Halfling Thief

After testing the stream, Ria walks over to the watercraft, running a hand over them. Ooh, let's take a boat ride!

Brother Isaachar: cleric and 'aide'.

The rooms intrigue and delight the cleric, "an aquarium and fun water slide", he says. Wrapping the forks of his trident so that it resembles a paddle he will go to place a boat in the flowing stream. " anyone up for riding the crest of the wave?" he will ask.

Can he make the boats secure in the stream, perhaps tied together before they float away?

The riddle mentioned an 'inverted ziggurat' (the aquarium room).

The vote so far:
Asaahn and Bucky want to fireball the surreal aquarium.
Isachaar and Riagrin want to take the boats.
Goroth won’t use the boat. Is that a vote for fireballing the aquarium, Grey?
Ravenn4544’s vote?
Thanks.

Brother Isaachar: cleric and 'aide'.

Isaachar turns to the diminutive halfling and offers her a leg up into the boat. "Lets' leave these doomsayers and infidels behind and go for the ride of our lives. They shall surely follow us in the other craft so we can scout ahead".

Brother Isaachar will launch out with the boat.

ooc: what sort of craft is it, I imagine either two men kayak or open topped Hiawatha style canoe.

Abdul Jhaad Asaahn, holy wizard:

At the sight of the back of the half-orc's head, the dark old spider smiles for the first time in a long time. He checks the two magic weapons and then nods at Goroth and heads to the chamber of the inverted ziggurat. "My friends, once I complete the incantation, please slam the door and fall prone to the ground so we're not engulfed in flames."

Then the sorcerer priest uttered forbidden, black words to pierce the veil of this reality and call for unholy aid from his merciless master, the fiery tyrant lord of a Hell beyond our own. "'Ai! 'Ai! Thanarak! N'ghaog! Fm'latgh!"

Cast Fireball in the center of the aquarium room. And then we slam door and hit the deck!

Goroth does exactly as the eccentric mage says dropping flat to the floor on his chest and belly.

Bucyrus, human monk
Although sorely tempted to watch the fireball, Bucky does as instructed, slamming the door shut and dropping to the floor.
