Ganon:
Darkmane wrote:Dark Elves/Pale Statues, Sacrificial Altar
First of all the room is huge! It isn't well lit by the torches on standing sconces near the center so you can't really see the exact wall and ceiling, but the room is like a massive opera house! An altar stands about 12' in diameter and perhaps 4-6 feet high in spots, it is made of obsidian or metal, and it is shaped like a sipder that is hovering over a raging fire. Victims have been tied down onto the altar, their throats cut, and the blood allowed to flow down into the fire. The horrible smoke from the blood has drift just above the altar in a strange globe of black smoke and lightning, DARK MAGIC!!! There is a pile of corpses around the altar, perhaps 12 or more dead souls. There are a few remaining captives, probably ready to also be sacrificed on this horrible contraption. A huge barbarian type guy, stripped bare except for a loin cloth, and obviously showing signs of torture, and apparently standing on two broken legs!!!! You recognize him as Rhaeggef, the cleric of tempus you met previously in Undermountain. His hands are bound behind his back.
Ganon slings his bow onto his back and takes out his dagger and heads over to Rhaeggef. Using his dagger he cuts the man's bonds.
"In Waukeen's name what happened here?"

Tantos Vek, failed paladin:

Vek cleaned his blade of Drow blood and said to Roseheart, "What in holy hell have we just stumbled across?"

With his sword still in his fist, he'll search this ghastly chamber. He'll also look for other entrances to see if this place is remotely defensible.

Roseheart Mage

"Black and foul magic, Vek - black and most foul. Pray your sword arm stays strong indeed." He'll wander around the altar and investigate the area without touching anything and minding his step as best he can. "I'm defenseless at the moment folks and will need some quiet time to recover."

I know the threat is not over but I'm trying to keep folks alive. I have no offensive spells and loading the firearm takes 3 rounds.

^^^ This. Tella is trying to dole out some healing in the lull. She is also out of offensive power but is not sure the ooze/mist thing is gone for good.

A few more moments go by while you exchange healing potions and cure light wounds spells. Most of you stay huddled over by the globe of darkness near the doorway, while Vek pushes out into the room. Other than your quick mumbles of communication which ring out hollow in the huge space, the only other sound is that of the prisoners whimpering and praying. Another of them wrteches on the ground.

After being healed by Glimble, Ganon runs over to Rhaeggeff and was going to help him with his bonds, but they are made of steel (you could try a pick locks roll if you wish) Rhaeggeff's legs are a misery of broken bone and scourged flesh. His upper body is a wash of bruises and cuts, his face has been beaten and one eye is swollen like an egge and sealed shut with a wash of blood, but he gives Ganon a small smile as the smaller man lifts him up, then his one good eye tracks over to the prisoners....

In his thick barbarian accent, Rhaeggeff loudly exclaims, "Adventurers, the beast is still vith us! There vus no blond girl amongst us before!"

At his words, a blond girl from the back of the prisoner huddle stands up, her spine straightening to inhuman stiffness. As she does, the two prisoners who wretched both stand at the same time, their manacles falling to the floor from their hands The whites of their eyes are completely gone, filled with blood and black instead. What was once a man in his forties and an older matronly woman, now appear like zombies or enspelled thralls. There are only an unconscious gnome and a young boy, probably around 12 left. The boy continues a low prayer to Tymora, until the blonde girl slaps his head, knocking him down and out. She produces a key, likely from the manacles, and proceeds to eat it, and then leaps forward in a ballet spin, and a quick shuffle dance on the tips of her toes...

A voice like tar, bubbling and popping, and rasping comes out of the blonde girl. "None of you will live, none will escape!"

With that, the two thralls charge Vek, and the blonde girls skin explodes into bloody gore, a huge spider ripping its way out of the flesh mask and then rippling into the huge ooozing thing once more as it charges toward your party!

*tag PC's, its been three rounds of downtime, so Tella's fireball is probably still active and the protection spell o Ganon, check the durations*

Tantos Vek, failed paladin:

"No rest for the wicked," Vek said to Roseheart.

Vek didn't see the thralls as innocent puppets. He wasn't going to try to save them, or even go easy on them. For all he knew, they were already dead. At least that's what he'd tell himself later.

He grimly got to work on murdering them.

If this is three rounds later, I don't know if I get one attack or two. Here's two rolls just in case.
The man with his first attack. Old lady with his second, if he gets it. Thanks.

Vek Long Sword: To Hit: [1d20+6] = 12+6 = 18 . Damage: S/M: [1d8+7] = 5+7 = 12 , L: [1d12+7] = 6+7 = 13

Tella - Elf Mage

OCC: If it's only been three round her sphere has two remaining.

Tella will direct the sphere toward the spider/ooze/blond thing.

Cormack hefts his battle axe up off his shoulder and prepares to swing it again. "Ahh, the fight is not over," he says, almost as if he is glad. He joins Vek in dispatching the thralls.

Not sure where we stand with the 3/2 attacks so I will attack opposite Vek. The first against the woman and if the second attack is viable, it will be against the man.

Tantos Vek, failed paladin:

Vek fought alongside Cormack and had the strange sensation they had done this before, against a big deformed giant and a crazy little wizard. The sensation passed as quickly as it came.

Glimble does not stop and ask questions he just begins completing the reload of his firearm. I should have one or two more rounds to get a shot off again.

I'll wait until tomorrow/later today to resolve, giving Thorax time to roll attacks, and I'll let Glimble shoot next round (I think you had started reloading earlier, so some of the process was done...)

Sorry all. Thorax will have spent a round looking for an enemy and praying to Clangeddin for their return (while he drank the potion), and then cast cure light. I am not sure on whom he would use the spell thought. Who looks worst? Our martial artist friend? If he went to him he would have attempted to break his bonds (strength roll?). Finally yes he would have attacked.

Assuming you will adjudicate those actions here are some rolls:

: Cure Light Wounds [1d8] = 1 Sorry whomever.
Roll for break [1d100] = 93. Sigh, high is normally good...Healing Potion [2d4] = 5 Better than expected.Roll to hit [1d20] = 7 forRoll for damage [1d8+5] = 8+5 = 13 of course...come on low ac...
AndRoll to hit [1d20] = 6 forrl=http://www.unseenservant.com/default.as ... 98&macid=0]Roll for damage [1d8+5] = 8+5 = 13 [/url] cute. Clangeddin...do not let these two max damage rolls got to waste...your buddy Thorax.

Ganon:

Ganon crouches down and sees that Rhaeggef bonds require a more delicate touch than a dagger. He sheathes his dagger and rifles through his backpack an pulls out his lock picks which he inherited from Muriel. He gets to work on the lock binding Rhaeggef. "Hold still and I'll have this off you in a moment. Can some one give me some more light over here?"
80% Open Locks + Magic Lockpick (+5% to Pick Locks skill)
If the successful Ganon will help Rhaeggef up and move him away to a safer area/out of melee combat, if one exists, in this room. He will stand guard over him with his short sword and dagger in a defensive position.
If not he will just stand his ground protecting Rhaeggef and himself with his short sword and dagger. Full defensive position.

OCC: HP 9/20 *protection for evil, 7/8 rounds*

Dark Elves/Pale Statues/Sacrificial Altar - Round 12:

Altar Room:

"No rest for the wicked," Vek said to Roseheart.

Vek didn't see the thralls as innocent puppets. He wasn't going to try to save them, or even go easy on them. For all he knew, they were already dead. At least that's what he'd tell himself later.

With Cormack chraging over, Vek grimly got to work on murdering them. With two fast sweeps of his sword, a cutting strike and a thrust, the thralls died. As his steel bit into them, the magic fades and they die confused and not understanding! The woman lets loose a low moan as she slides off the tip of his sword, collapsing into unconsciousness.

Meanwhilem the beast thing charges through Tella's interposed fireball once again, and whips forth psuedopods, reaching, just as Thorax cuts into the beast once more, cutting off a massive chunk of ectoplasm. Glimble is crouched down reloading Roseheart is backing away in horror, Tella is a mask of determined control. And then those horrible wrenching attacks sweep down (two on Tella, two on Glimble, 4 on Thorax).

Tella is struck by a psudopod in the hip, but she turns away from it (6 damage), Glimble is able to dodge whilst reloading but Thorax takes the brunt of the hits (16 damage!), as the beast beats him, slams him, and finally tosses him up in the air ripping at his face as it does. Thorax lands in a pile, his axe skittering away, from limp hands...

In the back, Ganon makes short work of releasing Rhaeggef from his bonds! The manacles release with a click. The barbarian begins wheezing out a prayer, working up magic for another spell!

HP/special (everybody double check here):
Ganon: 9/20 *protection from evil, 7/8 rounds*
Cormack:36/46
Roseheart:8/11
Tella: 7/24
Thorax: 0/45
Glimble: 15/33
Vek:43/49

Glimble fires at the pdd creature doing harm to him and his friends. Wondering all the time if he is the only cleric that has remembered his a healer seeing Thorax fall his next round intent is to tend to him. Arquebus For Hit:[1d20] = 15 Thaco=18 All Dmg:[1d10] = 3 Hits AC 3

Darkmane wrote:As his steel bit into them, the magic fades and they die confused and not understanding! The woman lets loose a low moan as she slides off the tip of his sword, collapsing into unconsciousness.
Vek was dumbstruck. He instinctively readied to lay hands upon them, and stopped himself. He was about to bind their wounds when he heard mighty Thorax fall.
Vek snapped out of it and grimly charged the slithering horror, his merciless blade ready for more work. He slashed at its back, if it has one.

Again, not sure if he has one or two attacks here, so I'll roll twice, in order. Thanks.
Vek Long Sword: To Hit: [1d20+6] = 8+6 = 14 . Damage: S/M: [1d8+7] = 8+7 = 15 , L: [1d12+7] = 1+7 = 8
Vek Long Sword: To Hit: [1d20+6] = 5+6 = 11 . Damage: S/M: [1d8+7] = 8+7 = 15 , L: [1d12+7] = 6+7 = 13
Two max damage rolls, just like Thorax! I'll take that as a bad omen for Vek. ;)

The party was torn open like an axe wound to the head. If the thing was still alive, Vek will try to end it.
"Go back to hell, you bastard!" he snarled. "These souls come at too high a price!"
The failed paladin sounded braver than he felt.
