Realm of the Slime God, Forbidden Island of Xygax the Wizard, Land of One Thousand Towers
Night. Sunday, April 15th, 912 CY

Image

Horrifically, Finver has transformed and joined with the Slime God! "It is glorious to serve you, Master. What is your command?"

The churning mass of omni-putrescence replies, "Infect your friends that we may share Communion."

Meanwhile, Connak and Mungo hack and bludgeon other slimy servitors into ribbons of jelly! (S4, S7) Fiefo wounds a third minion (S5) but does not kill it. Draupadi's attack is off balance due to the slippery terrain. And Ko-Nan suddenly charges back into the battle, hewing the Slime God with his fearsome cleaver!

The sentient lake of roiling heinousness retaliates against Connak, Ko-Nan and Mungo with lashing tentacles of malice! (2hp, 1hp and 3hp damage respectively.
And Ko-Nan, please Save vs Poison and post your action regardless of the outcome.)

Connak turns to strike out at the creature attacking Fiefo, but is distracted by the sting of the space creature's tentacle, his swing going wide.

A burgeoning anger wells up in Mungo. He curses the slime god. By Wells and Verne, you-- slime god-- are nothing more than a great runny nose! Back! Back, the pits of hell or outer space, I say! He leaps over a rivulet of the slime god goo and closes on the wrethed spawn Draupadi is battling (S6).

Dexterity 10, if a roll is needed. From the map, I wasn't sure. [1d20]=9
I don't think Mungo can charge and attack again for 8 more turns, :) but just in case. THAC0 18 [1d20+1]=1+1=2 Sm/L [1d6+2]=4+2=6 / [2d4+1]=7+1=8

Ko-Nan the barbarian is the next to be infested. Like Finver, his mortal flesh is tainted by the bloodcurdling filth of the hideous, otherworldly Slime God! Primal revulsion ruins Ko-Nan's aim as he feels the inhuman monstrosity invade his very mind!

"Ko-Nan, let us share Communion. Let us be one."

(Ko-Nan, please Save vs Spells to act freely!)

Perhaps unnerved by this frightful turn of events, all of Ko-Nan's companions fail to land a telling blow! But they successfully evade the insidious pseudopods of the surviving servitors of slime (S5, S6)!

[/size]Mungo is alarmed to see Ko-Nan now also slimed. Good Wells and Verne, we have finish this thing! His forge hammer strikes into the slime spawn with a loud, nauseating splopp.

Ko-Nan's ferocious will resists the insidious invasion of the Slime God's hideous, alien consciousness from entering his mind!

Fiefo and Mungo hack and bludgeon the last muck minions out of the air! (S5, S6)

Finver fails to trigger a cave-in when suddenly, Maskelyn reemerges from the darkness in time to witness Ko-Nan the post-apocalyptic barbarian smite the putrid font of heinousness into oblivion!

The Slime God's tentacular pseudopods flail helplessly as its many repulsive mouths utter its harrowing death-gurgle. And then it is no more.

The vile slime infestations that plague Finver and Ko-Nan melt away.

The invasion of the Slime God is ended! The lost tribe is avenged and the adventurers are victorious!

Hurrah! Mungo rather cornily and dorkishly cries. We did it! It's dead! The overjoyed moleman goes around slapping the shorter characters on the back and the taller ones on the lower back.

Connak cleans is saber and looks wonderingly at Ko-Nan and says You STABBED it to death!! clearly impressed. Then, after a moment, We were on our way somewhere when we ran into this thing. Fiefo stands a bit stunned, shocked that they were able to somehow defeat a lake of slime. He's not even sure how they did it, having been busy flailing wildly most of the fight...

"Er...I guess let's investigate these caves again, now that the slime is gone? It may have been covering up... treasure or something? We should be able to rest in there too." he says, finally.

Seeing the Slime God beaten, Maskelyn shouts We did it! We... uh, you did it! Great job, everyone.
He's strangely quiet.
