Ko-Nan also charges to smite down the slime and put an end to this madness!

Attack: THACO (18): [1d20+2]=10+2=12+2=14 / Damage: (S/M: [2d4+3]=5+3=8 / L: [3d4+3]=9+3=12)

The martial ardor and bloodlust carries to Mungo and grips him as well. He forgets about Verne and Welles and screams Kiiiaaaaaiiii! and charges at the repugnant slime appendages. He savagely grabs at an abomination with his thick forge gloves.
Forge gloves of shocking grasp (using the shocking ability) [1d20+1]=20+1=21 [1d8+4]=1+4=5

+1 to hit and +1 to damage to any attack (touch or conductive weapons). Once per day, bestows 1d8+4 damage to one attack (touch or conductive weapons). A miss doesn't discharge the electricity. Otherwise as per the spell except: No verbal or somatic.

Maskelyn
Maskelyn joins the attack, angling North East. His intent is to get to a position where his friends aren't in the line of fire, then use Color Spray, probably next round.

Finver attacks in melee with two handed war hammer [1d20+2]=2+2=4 doing [1d6+2]=1+2=3 of bludgeoning damage

Despite the fervor of his fellows in the moment, Finver follows Connak's charge but is ultimately ineffective. He swings in futility to join attack on the slime appendages emerging from the Slime God.

Mungo's adrenalin surge dies down, along with his battlelust. The amateur strategy and tactics buff wonders if using his gloves of shocking grasp on the first go might have been an overkill decision. But he remembers a maxim of the great Moleman military strategist Onko: "If you knock them out before they can try to hit you back, you will never get hit. This thought deserves careful consideration." And then he recalls another of Onko's maxims: If you anger a strong enemy, it will pretty much most likely fly into a blind rage and try to use its full might to try to flatten you. A wise Moleman gives this thought thoughtful consideration." And another: "When a huge, overpowering opponent has become enraged and has but one avenue of escape or attack, it would be good to get there first and close it. Give thoughtful consideration, etc." Yes, Draupadi, no time to waste. Let's get there quick. Who's doing this glyph, you or me?

Finver climbs to his feet, cursing his family flaw of clumsiness in the critical moment. His face becomes stunned and then relieved to see...

The second passage is successfully warded! One doorway remains, the southernmost!
He leaps into a celebratory dance, erupting with several rounds of cheerfully repeated... "...by Dhianha's Favor..."" Settling into the realization their effort remains incomplete, Finver hastens to follow behind Maskelyn in his path towards the southernmost doorway! "Hey, Gnome!" Finver calls ahead in a cavalier tone, "I'll be right on tha hem of yer cloak if ya need me!"

Realm of the Slime God, Forbidden Island of Xygax the Wizard, Land of One Thousand Towers
Night. Sunday, April 15th, 912 CY

Image

Two cavern entrances are sealed. One remains and then the Slime God is imprisoned once more!

Racing as fast as they dare across the slime-blighted landscape, the adventurers urgently descend upon the southern cave mouth!

Corpses of the atrocities of slime and bone (S1, S2)...

Image

...remain there, still "guarding" the entrance, dead and unchanged.

But from the black maw into the mound echoes the spine-tingling gurgle-shrieks of the alien Slime God! Soon, the gigantic slithering horror from another world will be upon them!

Actions?! (Friendly reminder, one may only move 1" and attack or cast spells in the same round. And one can't Charge an unseen foe. So this round will likely be only movement for many of you, positioning yourselves for the final, inevitable confrontation with the unimaginable. Good luck.)

Connak puts on a burst of speed, placing himself directly in front of the opening and about 15-20' away from it. He howls/yowls toward the cave as he bangs the hilt of his saber against his shield and shouts I'll do it again, you vomitous misbegotten refuse!

Attempting to draw attention away from the magic users, hopefully whatever comes will charge right by them!

Mungo likes Connak's description of the slime god as "vomitous." He tries to recall a similar adjective in Molemanish-- but there's no time. Yes, Draupadi, good idea! He hustles to his position at the mouth of the cave.

Maskelyn
Maskelyn sprints for the cave entrance, calling a prayer to Bugs.

Hey, Doc! We're in a spot, here! If you see fit, I hope you can help us get this job done- Please?

IF he gets to the entrance, he'll stop outside the tunnel.
