Ko-Nan takes up a strong defensive position outside the tunnel. "Let it come and face it's fate upon my blade!"

Finver turns to Maskelyn and formulates a quick plan of action near the Slime God's lair. His voice carries a concerned tone as he says, "I don't think yer illusions will trick tha slimies, Maskelyn - but don't let that stop ya from tryin' ta distract 'em. Maybe ya can buy us more time with dopplegangers of ourselves? I'd just be sure ya have a backup plan, and if yer plan is just stay outta trouble, then ya can stand behind me. I'll be against tha wall there, opposite Connak, and wait fer a chance ta splatter anythin' slimy that come outta' there."

Finver hurries against the western section of wall and approaches hugging the wall, as close to the entrance to the Slime God's lair as possible, staying out of line of sight from anything emerging from it. With his war hammer grasped firmly at the ready position, he calls out to Maskelyn in the gnome's native language, "I'll do my best ta keep ya safe, little buddy."
Antoine de Saint-Exupery: “If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up people together to collect wood and don’t assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.”

Fiefo will scramble to a position 15’ or so back and to the left of Connak. Once there he’ll draw his bow.

“Well, this is finally it, guys. Certain death, just like I always said,” he shouts, “On the bright side, no more Mondays…”

Startled, Fiefo will drop his bow. His eyes slide off of the Slime God involuntarily, his mind classifying it as "landscape" in order to preserve its own sanity. He settles on a more manageable foe and lunges at the spawn next to him with his scimitar.

By Verne and Wells, the whole danged thing came out of the cave! Mungo cries. He remembers another of the great military science thinker Onko's maxims: "When fighting in a group, try to make the enemy come through a small space, so you can all gang up on it. Like, if only two enemies can come through a doorway at a time, form in a crescent (C-shape) in front of it, so everyone in the group can get in a whack." Everyone! Get behind our glyphs! We're making a whacking channel for just a part of the thing to pass through! He begins casting his glyph around two paces from Draupadi's. He really hopes this actually works.

Finver scowls in disgust at the foulness covering the floor beneath them. "Make a passage in yer ring of fire, gnome. I'm goin' ta help Fiefo and Connak until ya need me." Finver charges at the nearest slime appendage (S3) at full speed and winds up for a whirlwind strike.

Mungo desperately calls out, Finver! Mate! Rally us cats together and organize and make plan! Or any plan you think of! We're counting on you! Until and if we can do the glyphs plan. Rally to Finver's hammer! , the old moleman yells. While tracing the pattern of a magical glyph. Again, hoping for the very best.

Finver answers to Mungo, turning to reveal a grin through dripping slime, "Ya got yer hands full just with sealin' up that final ward! Help Lady Drapuadi, Master Mungo! We'll keep these slimies from stoppin' ya! Everyone, ya heard tha Moleman! Clean up this mess!!"

She will try and place the ward at the cave mouth. If she can't reach it she will attempt to fight her way there with her mace.

Realm of the Slime God, Forbidden Island of Xygax the Wizard, Land of One Thousand Towers
Night. Sunday, April 15th, 912 CY

Image

Once the adventurers had warded two exits, the hideous Slime God knew what they were attempting and burst from the third in a vile geyser of heinousness!

As its disgusting body blasts past them, the heroes attack it!

"All spawn of the wizard must die!" Ko-Nan shouts, but revulsion ruins his aim.

Connak slashes true with his glimmering sabre. But like striking at a puddle of mud, beyond a splash, the catman is unsure whether he has caused any injury!

Fiefo misses one of the Slime God's revolting spawn with his scimitar! (S3)

Image

But then Finver bludgeons it out of the air!

Mungo realizes the Slime God's immensity covers the surface onto which he wishes to cast his glyph! Draupadi tries her best to beat back the Slime God but it's like trying to move a lake with the blows of a mace!

Suddenly, Draupadi spontaneously combusts in a pyre of flame!

Image

Strangely, she does not burn.

The vast, undulating horror of the Slime God never stops writhing as its countless obscene mouths simultaneously gurgle:
"Ah. Excellent. You are all here. At last we shall Commune and become as One. Then together, we shall assimilate this little planet. Who's first?"

Connak starts moving consistent with staying engaged in "melee" with the main blob along the "body of the creature towards the "flames", hoping to distract the creature from whatever the casters are about. As he moves, he repeatedly slices at the blob. What's wrong, you dog vomit! Face me like the man you aren't!!
