Sorry about that, everyone.

I've forgotten the house rule and can't find it. Torix can recover half of the arrows he shot?

I rolled for Grigor to randomly roll saves vs acid for his kit and stuff that might have been dissolved by the gelatinous cube? The lantern was mentioned as being swallowed and I have wiped his inventory to clear items that might be dissolved such as rations, wineskin, normal bow and quiver of arrows, down graded his clothes from silken gypsy finery to pitted rags and adjusted his melted banded armour to leather standard. (AC4 - AC8).

Hi Blue,
Iron and bone won't dissolve. So no need to save for items fashioned from those materials, or materials of similar hardness. Thanks.

Blistered and withered he checks his body. "My moustache! Curses!" he strokes his top lip, missing its years grown handlebar of finely waxed hirsuteness. Among his remnant garb he can still sport a silvered holy ankh medallion upon his now bare chest, singed clean of hair and tattoos and a pitted bearskin jerkin. His boots losing their glossy shine to appear weathered and his pantaloons now sheared to be short shorts.

"My gypsy finery gone, I feel like one of the village people." His belt of horseshoes survive but the lucky rabbit's foot, coon tail and five leaf clovers have no such luck and his linen priestly garb and phylactery shredded to ever shrinking rags.

He checks among the detritus of cube tenants to fish out his heirloom scimitar, happy it shines light again once he grasps it and checks for the Bone Wand that we found earlier.
Excellent post.

If there is anything in the goop which would improve Cruloc's AC (i.e. the shield or helm), he'd like that. His AC is 4, which is not good enough for a frontline fighter at reduced HP. Failing that, he gets a +1 bonus with a spear, so he'd throw his hat into the ring for the weapon.

Amethu has been lugging along a small shield +1 for ever (and I've forgotten about it). You are welcome to it.

Lovely. Thanks!

edit: He is a level 3 barbarian, so he cannot use that +1 shield. Barbarians can use magic armor from level 5. :(

Are there any indications of what the properties of the helm, shield, and spear are? He'll examine, fondle, and heft them to that end.

Cruloc will try to detect magic on all of these items and the gem and dagger as well.

You're right, the fine print on the bottom of the shield says 'Barbarians Not Included" :). If anyone else needs it then it is theirs.

It seems like only yesterday that Torix joined the party, but Jemmus' first post was back in late January of 2022. Happy belated anniversary!

Grigor can use the Shield +1, he has no enhanced armour or protection. So I will equip that if you are passing it on.

Gnasher has a +1 studded Collar.

Hey everyone,

Traveling for work this week, so will pause DM activity until I return.

However, as Grigor just asked....

This might be a good week to forge consensus on your next direction. You have two western options, upper and lower. The northern door that Kiri just unlocked. The chasm tunnel you must leap to, that intrigued Cruloc. The wide stairs down, south and west of here, that the Oracle said was the direction of your quest. And the unknown corridor to the southeast.

Here's the latest map, without the western fork:

Jaquays always offers lots of paths! Have a good week.

The fact that the door to the north was locked with a key says to me that there ought to be something valuable in that direction, either monetarily or informationally, so I'd vote: North Door.

Grigor

I made my choice and after one step it got swallowed up in near death. He would be fine going another way. Through the locked door would be okay, though a couple of references have been made to 'west and down' being the way to go. So that might take us further away?
