Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. The baroness speaks quickly and decisively, "Into the room, flank left and right, stay along the walls without passing near pillars. Perhaps the goblins and the dragonette will fight each other first, or else we learn something about the chamber." She stands to guard the rear, waiting expectantly for everyone else to move.

Lika looks back and forth between the unknown room and the corridor behind them. She shrugs and nods. "I'm going right. Are we ambushing them or letting things play out?"

He moves forward into the room and stays along the right wall.

The bugbear smiles his unsettling, toothy grin. Kill goblins. Good plan. He moves into the room, hiding beside a pillar on the left side. He'll take up a position where he can see anyone coming down the stairs. Bow ready, arrow knocked, he waits to unleash death.
Initiative: [1d20+3]=10+3=13
Readied action, he will attack the first enemy that he is able to target.
Assassinate (Bow): [1d20+6]=13+6=19; Damage: [1d6+3]=1+3=4; Sneak Attack: [3d6]=8; Surprise: [2d6]=10
Assassinate (Bow): [1d20+6]=15+6=21; Damage: [1d6+3]=4+3=7; Sneak Attack: [3d6]=12; Surprise: [2d6]=3
I rolled twice, in case he goes ahead of the goblins in combat, as he'll get advantage on attacks against anyone who hasn't taken a turn in the combat yet. Also, if he is able to get surprise, any hit is a critical, so all damage from both rolls would be used (except the second +3).

Into the Pillar Room
"Stand and fight or risk the pillar room?" whispers Unari. "Into the room, flank left and right, stay along the walls without passing near pillars," Nella commands decisively. The baroness remains in place to guard the rear, waiting expectantly for everyone else to enter safely before her.

Lika shrugs and nods. "I'm going right. Are we ambushing them or letting things play out?" he chirps. The winged party member furls in its wings and, as he said he would, enters the room to the right, hugging the outside wall.

"Kill goblins. Good plan." Gruuthuk grunts; barely able to contain his excitement at the idea. The bugbear enters the room veering left.

Xanlanan will continue to stick close to Lika, while Unari will follow Gruuthuk. After the four are comfortably positioned inside the room, Nella herself backs in, keeping an eye down the hallway looking to spot the arrival of the sources to the goblin voices which spurred on their current course of action.



No miniature dragon is spotted flying overhead, but the seemingly ever-aware baroness percepts a brief scraping of metal against stone... from behind the group, hidden amongst the pillars.

At present, what actually made the sound is still unknown as no one is in a position to observe it.

At the same time, the goblin voices, while still not in view, continue to draw near.
