Payback's a bitch.

Thanks for the attempted assist, Grog. If it doesn't stick maybe Protection From Evil? This thing is clearly a summoned demon. :)

Seeing the creature is a challenge to Caine, the elven mage barks mystic grammar and weaves an arcane symbol in the air, casting Metzner's Myriad of Mirror Images upon the man-beast. Six Caine's appear, hopefully causing confusion for the demon-bird and saving the real Caine from attack.

Mirror Image number [1d100] = 59 +3 for level. 59= 3 images, +3 for level = 6 total.
The spell description doesn't mention that it can be cast on someone else. Or am I missing something?
Orando will cast it on himself. He doesn't have Prot. from Evil.

The spell is my action for this second round of combat. If I can move forward (but not into the room) to position some of the images around Caine, given the 60' range of spell, I will.

Looking at the description again, I'm not sure if the level plus is applied to the percentile roll, or the total number of images after the percentile roll. Given it says 1-4 images, I guess the former.

Just letting you all know that I will be heading back down to the island for our spring vacation this afternoon.

I will still try to post when I can, but my posting rate may be far slower than normal for the next 12 days or so.

I blame it on the Red Stripe. :D Yah Mon!!!

Have fun.

Sorry about the Sally confusion. My mistake. I thought the dead old woman was Sally's mom, forgetting of course that Sally is an old woman today.

Hi,
I'm going away for a long weekend. I don't expect to be online. I'll be back on Monday night.

Please NPC my character if I'm holding things up. Ugghra will enter his customary post-Caine phase of quiet introspection, denial, shame, and misdirection of blame upon Orando. :)

Thanks. Have a good weekend, and Happy Mother's Day everyone.

Did you ask that for any certain reason?

I will wait to post if there is something else that you would like to do before the morning.
