New to PBP, long time D&D player
Hi! I'm new to play by post, but I'm interested in trying it out!
I started playing as a kid and rediscovered the hobby as an adult. Here are systems I'm familiar with:
AD&D 2e
D&D 3/3.5
D&D 5e
Basic/Expert (Specifically Old School Essentials)
Other RPG's I've played or bought and read include:
Everway
Maze Rats
Mork Borg
White Hack
Troika
Quest
I'd love to join a game as a player.
I'm flexible on system, but would prefer to use one I already have or one with free rules right now
I'd like to start with a fantasy medieval setting - I'm just not as well versed in sci-fi, modern or other setting tropes.

Hello LSB and welcome to Unseen Servant!
We are unfortunately going under some forced renovations at this point in time, but you are still very welcome.
Hope you find a game soon, and just noting that you need two approved posts in the forums before becoming a full member!
But after your next post, you'll be a-ok and good to go!
Welcome and be well!!

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

I LOVE YOUR USERNAME!
Very well done!
If you can handle AD&D 1e, Spearmint has a Barrowmaze game with open recruitment. Fun game, and probably one of the largest on the board. How he does it, I don't know, but he keeps multiple groups running, all at the same time.
Send Spearmint a PM, and ask to join. You'll probably find it to your liking.

Welcome to the best place on the internet!
Re: New to PBP, long time D&D player
Agreed!
My advice is if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask, everyone here is super helpful and if a game looks interesting just PM the DM/GM and ask about it. It may not look like there is an opening when often there is.

Welcome, LostSpellBook.
From the list you provided, I don't think you'll have much trouble finding a game. Feel free to reach out to the users running current games directly, and also don't hesitate to post your interests in the 'Looking for players or games' forum.

Welcome aboard!
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Check out:

asking for a new player.
Have a scan of the IC posts - it's a good game and is really "Vikings" not Traveller so might well be your thing.
