Maskelyn
Seeing that the others are heading a different direction, Maskelyn returns to the group. He is unusually solemn as he looks over the slime infestations on his companions.
This ain't good, Doc. I hate ta say it, but Ko-Nan might have the right idear after all...

Mungo is disappointed about the flame surgery having no effect at all. Cure Disease may indeed be our best bet. If we can take a rest, The Professor will surely provide the cure.

Finver is confused by the disembodied voices only he hears and looks around his surroundings startled. "Hey, Cat-man, ya hear that? who said that? Void of slime?"

Proceeding as if the others also hear the sinister voices, Finver explores further with Connak beside him.
