Hullo!

#1 Post by monolith »

Hello everyone. I’ve played pen and paper RPGs since the seventies so at this point, you name and I’ve played it. I’m always trying new systems and forums like this are a good place to experiment. Hope to be playing with some of you soon.

Welcome monolith!!
This is a good place for folks who've played a while, as well as newbies, and well as to experiment. :)
Glad you found us. Just an FYI, as an anti-spam measure the first two posts of new members have to be approved. After the second post is approved you are good to go with posting (without delay), PMing other members and playing in our games!
Again welcome, and be well,
--Ron--
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Thanks for the warm welcomes thus far. What are the most popular games/genres on this site. I know, I’m a little lazy but my time here at work is limited.

Welcome, monolith.

There is an increasingly wide variety of games being played here, but probably (still) the most common would be old-school D&D, either Basic (BX, BECMI, OSR) or Advanced (1e, 2e). The Traveller RPG would probably be the next most popular. Then 5e and a handful of other RPGs fill out the rest.

What kind of game (or game system) are you looking for?

It's hard to explain puns to kleptomaniacs because they always take things literally.

Welcome!
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.
