delighted his idea works LL stays in the cooridor where he can;t be seen.

if the things try to make their way around the corner he plans to cast light on the lead ones eye window.

stay in the side corridor, remember the poles contain lightning which can be used against them.

The Dead Wizard's Skyscraper
Forbidden Island of Xygax the Wizard, Land of One Thousand Towers
Day Three. Morning? March 27th, 912 CY

"EX-TER-MI-NATE!" the two remaining machine-monsters rant as they slowly advance past the fresh corpses of Switch and Arto. Then they detonate their strange magic wands again and once more, the corridor is filled with terrible, white-hot electricity and light!

Chaka and Ko-Nan are both grazed by the terrible blasts (-9hp, -8hp respectively) and the injured barbarian finally succumbs to his many wounds and crashes to the floor!

With a squeal, Chaka the ape-boy and Fiefo LeBratt plunge forward in a mad dash, leaping into the northern intersection and taking cover there.

Chaka continues east for 25 more feet and peers around the corner, discovering a metal corridor that ranges south to a new intersection, illuminated by more of the phosphorescent wizard eyes.

Behind them, Adrock and Tullia hold their positions in an alcove, waiting in ambush as the Daleks slowly glide closer... closer... closer.

Tullia

Whispered: Adrock, when they get close enough, we yank out one of these metal ropes and drop it on them, like Chaka did. That ought to cook their goose.

She braces herself and gets ready to pull one of the metal ropes out of its fitting in a wizard light.

Chaka risks it, rushing down the metal hall at full speed, hoping to come up behind the weird monsters before they kill all of his friends.

Let me know if you need any rolls for the door, etc.

Not sure what to do, Fiefo remains where he is, yelling in an attempt to distract the metal men from his companions he knows to be still hiding in the western nook: "Hey, dummies! Exterminate this!" he says. He makes a rude gesture around the corner before quickly retracting his hand.

The Dead Wizard's Skyscraper
Forbidden Island of Xygax the Wizard, Land of One Thousand Towers
Day Three. Morning? March 27th, 912 CY

"Ex-ter-mi-nate The In-tru-ders!" the twin strange, sorcerous engines rant as they creep closer!

"Exterminate this!" Fiefo cries, trying to distract the alien monsters.

Adrock and Tullia prepare to lunge out from their alcove in ambush, but the Daleks are not surprised.

"EX-TER-MI-NATE!" Unforgiving shafts of raw light and energy consume Adrock and Tullia (-5hp and -8hp respectively)!

Adrock nearly blacks out. Tullia tries to pull free another iron rope from the ceiling but cannot pry it loose.

Determined to live, Adrock clears his senses, grips the dangling, sparking vein and thrusts it at the nearest mechanical marauder! (D5) The results are devastating.

The Dalek explodes in a conflagration of screams and flame. Only one Dalek remains. (D4)

Meanwhile, to the east, Chaka races around, through the secret door to come up behind the raging inferno. Arto and Switch are dead. Jeojand and Maskelyn still draw breath, but have lost much blood. Quickly, Chaka binds the gnome's wounds, saving his life in the nick of time! (I will rule)

Then Fiefo hears more Dalek voices echoing from the west and south. "A-lert! A-lert! We Are In-vad-ed!" Their words, twisted by machinery and hate, grow louder.

Chaka can’t believe that his friends yet live after the devastation caused by the metal trash bins.

He quickly rushes from the side of Maskelyn, towards Jeojand, hoping to staunch the catmans ailments next before he too expires. Though the monkey boy does wonder if the cat would simply come back again after it died.

Fiefo hears more of the things approaching from the southwest. I almost ran that way he thinks with a shudder. He warns the others. "I told you we were going to die. I told you! There's more of them coming from that way. Grab who you can - we have to get the decon out of here." He crouches beside Ko-Nan and does what she can to stop him from dying. "They came from the sides, I say we head north." He says, looking up from his task and listening for more evidence of the Daleks' approach. He hefts the barbarian, crouching under him so they are back to back and prepares to drag him along with them.

The last demented monster shrieks, "All In-fer-i-or Crea-tures Are The E-ne-mies Of The Da-leks! You Shall Be De---"

It doesn't finish its sentence before it is blown to kingdom come by Adrock's sparking cable.

No enemies remain. For now.

Chaka and Fiefo quickly staunch the bleeding of Jeojand and Ko-Nan.

The rodent warrior says, "They came from the sides, I say we head north." He heaves the barbarian onto his back and readies to move out.

Dalek voices echo from the corridor on Fiefo's left: "A-lert! A-lert! Da-leks Are Un-der At-tack!!" Now all the explorers can hear them.

Tullia

She climbs down from the ceiling, and looks down the corridor that Fiefo indicated.

Looking down at the monster pieces: Huh. They have a interesting weakness. And a living part inside the metal casing. Well, lets get going. Standing around here is not a good idea.

She does what she can to help Maskelyn, and then gently picks him up.

Fiefo peers out from under Ko-Nan’s dead weight. “The side corridors must lead to where the Daleks live. Some kind of guard rooms. There are doors up here, let’s go,” he says and starts trudging north.

Chaka does a quick head count, knowing full well that if the group runs, one of the fallen will need to be left behind. Since the others seem to be allowing him to choose, he declines the notion.

"Chaka not run! Must defeat metal monsters! Sparking rope work good! Lay across floor in front of monsters path. Monsters kill themselves!"

With that, he drags Jeojand and Maskelyn into the western alcove and tries to open the door there.

Chaka abandons his plan to come up behind the enemy.

He drags Jeojand and any others left behind, hustling north towards the others and the oncoming monsters.
