I guess it's more for combat tactical use at this level.

It is pretty close to a useless spell, isn't it? The only situation where I can see it coming in handy is if you're running away from something nasty and making your pursuers delay by a minute or two might save your ass.

Yeah, I kind of put it up there with the gnome ability to Detect Grade in Passage...Zhym wrote:It is pretty close to a useless spell, isn't it? I suppose it would've been handy stopping that sand in the Gronda Death Room for long enough to extract her... whoopsies. ...buuuut then we wouldn't have Xorzen to entertain us by drinking death water!

There are several wonky spells available. I always figured they're the equivalent of a specialized tool- normally, you don't need it... but if you need it, nothing else will do.

But the toolbox has limited space and you have to decide what to put in it the morning of the job.

Hey,
Just a heads up: I'm away for work for a few days. So if I'm quiet you know why. I might be able to get online. Don't know yet.
Either way, I'm back on Wednesday.

OOC: not sure about how much time has passed but figure Amethu needs a good 3hrs to recover 3 1st level spells he has used?
Only a few minutes have passed since Amethu cracked his book.
Also, studying magic requires a "rested mind." Because Amethu's been busy all day, memorization of new spells will require some sleep first, which seems to be Mako's plan.

Xor is cool with resting in here if that is the groups consensus.

It's time for the annual notice: starting tomorrow (Thursday) through Sunday I'll be at GaryCon . This will for sure mean less posting, and possibly no posting (last year I had big problems with wi-fi). I'll be back on track Sunday evening, though. Don't kill my characters without me, please.
