11-Skullport-Trip 2- After the Fat Man!
Re: 11-Skullport-Trip 2- After the Fat Man!
No response from Garl and you don't hear him breathing. He may be scouting now?
Enoka car led down the stair and should return soon. You guys are still waiting back into the room under cover.

Enoka - I pmd you, you can report on what you've seen, if you walk back out and change back into a human, or try some bat loop com's lol. Although I'll make you roll some dice to communicate in that same way effeively as a spider.

Enoka:
As the party waits in the hall, their eyes catch a glimpse of a spider crawling out of the archway in which Enoka disappeared down. The small black spider does what spiders do in such areas, it begins to spin a web. The weave looks to be ordinary until irregular pattern appear in the web.

Once the initial web forms, small intricate letters begin to form in the webbing -- the spider is writing something!

Glimble watches the spider trying to figure out what it is writing?

Tantos Vek, failed paladin:
This is the coolest idea ever, Dads. But I'm ashamed I'm not clever enough to see what's in there. A "1" and maybe an "O"?
"One orc?" Vek quietly rasps at the tiny arachnid. He carefully peers down the steps, in case he can see its bottom from here.

Enoka:
The tiny spider with its tiny eight legs circles around the clearly indicated number one in the upper right corner. It then proceeds to the lower half of the web where is circles once again. This time it circles a image of a weapon. The tiny spider then stops to see if her message is received.
This is Enoka's first time writing a message into a spiders web so I though I should keep it simple. Perhaps after this she will take more time and practice her skill to produce a more easily identifiable message.

one dagger? one pealed banana? one hand holding a candle?
Glimble "That'd be my best guess, anything else that comes to mind makes less sense."

After enoka writes her message, you guys continue to wait, but there is a lot of activity above and below. Somebody is bound to come in and spot you guys if you don't do something soon. There is no sign of Garl, although it is likely he is skulking around somewhere

Tantos Vek, failed paladin:
Vek unsholders his bow and rasps, "We need to kill him before he can cry out." If no one has a better idea, Vek will tread downstairs with an arrow nocked, his stolen "H" plaque visible.

Vek roll 1d10 and then an attack with the bow (if needed).
Re: 11-Skullport-Trip 2- After the Fat Man!
Tantos Vek, failed paladin:
In his training to become a paladin, Vek had been taught to always tell the truth and fight by the code of chivalry.
Today, if Vek can surprise the guard, he'll try to shoot him in the back, killing him in cold blood.
If Vek doesn't surprise the guard, he'll try to trick him into hesitating by pretending to be another guard. His "H" shield prominently displayed, he'll grunt, "Hold up! I forgot something... Wait a minute. How do I know you're one of us?" he'll ask, with his bow ready, seemingly in case the guard can't give the correct answer. Then Vek will shoot him.
[1d10] = 9
Two Arrows: To Hit: [1d20] = 8, [1d20] = 5; Damage: [1d6] = 5, [1d6] = 4
If Vek misses, he'll say, "Oops. Damn. Sorry!"

Re: 11-Skullport-Trip 2- After the Fat Man!
Vek walks calmly down the stairwell, at the guard. The man has a ring about his throat, and is unarmored, wearing plain grey clothing. He looks at Veks symbol an seems nervous while Vek talks, right up to the point that Vek pulls up his bow to shoot.
He gets outa single cry of -- intruder! And then Vek pops him with an arrow from like 20 feet away from up the stairs. Vek tries another shot but it goes wide. The man took the arrow, falling momentarily against the wall, but then runs up the stairs yelling, intruder! Intruder!
He takes a swing at Vek with his sword, but Vek steps back and the first cut goes wide. Vek is now in a fight on the stair.

Tantos Vek, failed paladin:
Vek's merciless sword whispers from its scabbard. The grim warrior works to silence the guard with cold steel.
Vek: +3 Long Sword: To Hit: [1d20+8] = 14+8 = 22 . Damage: S/M: [1d8+9] = 3+9 = 12 , L: [1d12+9] = 2+9 = 11
If there's a door at the top of these stairs, Vek rasps, "Can we barricade it?" to the friends behind him.
