Bruze Whane, mutant bat:
Seeing the thorax excavation, Bruze wonders if the party accidentally invaded their territory. Were the bug minions merely defending their home?
If the roach men flee, Bruze will let them. He'll carefully investigate the excavation with his echolocation sense. (assuming the hole isn't where the thorax survivors fled to).

The Gam'A Zone, Day 31, Night
Bruze’s echolocation determines that a structure, made from similar material as the first hill you investigated, is at the bottom of the 4 ft. deep excavated pit. The ceiling has been torn open and the first Thorax Scavenger drops down into the hole.
Reference picture; NOT the current structure:

Jack "Sounds as good a plan as any to me." Jack says in agreement while gathering up his equipment.

Oor-Zak grunts in agreement as he begins to pack his gear.
Did we kill the thorax with the electro-whip thing? if so we should grab that.
Also, my apologies for being scare lately. Just the whole work/life thing keeping my attentions focused elsewhere. I'm going to try to be better about being engaged because quite frankly i could use the diversion

Yes. I think Bart has the whip.
Also, my apologies for being scare lately...
No need. I think we all understand.

Belial looks after the fleeing Thorax Scavs, and spreads his wings to fly after them- but then winces as his bee stings are agitated again and turns to collect any gear that can be salvaged.

Bart, MH
Bart heads back to camp with his friends and helps in packing and heading out.
"Do metal-men refer to be buried in death?"
Specs on E-whip? I was assuming Bart would be the only one who could use it.

Re: CHAPTER 3a: The Thorax Scavengers
Jack once he has his stuff gathered will start helping with taking anything of use off the dead bugs.

I dunno, dude. The Lebowski always said to treat your allies like family- in life and death.

The Gam'A Zone, Day 31, Night
Bruze reports on the bug’s retreat into a sanctuary at the top of the hill.
The energy whip has a metal and artificial bone handle anchored to a thin filament, of unknown material. When the handle is squeezed, the filament is charged with electrical energy if the power belt is worn (from the Thorax leader). The belt has 12 egg-shaped nodules connected to a leather-like band. 6 have a small, red light that shines at the top. 1 of the ‘eggs’ light shines intermittent, and the remaining 5 lights are dark. The weapon system looks old and worn.
A successful hit required the target to Save vs. Stun or be immobile for 1d6 rounds. A natural ‘20’ will require two successful saves.
The weapons of the other Thorax Scavengers are repurposed metal items that resemble a mace (1), short sword (1), axe (1), spear (3) and javelin (7).
Several of the Scavengers wear sacks containing, in total, various tools for junk retrieval: pry bar (5), pliers (3), saw (2), hammer (3) and a glass bottle (2) containing a yellow liquid.
None of you know about the ways of artificial people and their death rituals.
You are exhausted from the battle and need to rest into mid-morning.
Are you going to stay here or move away into the night? Moving further tonight will deplete any remaining energy and require a full rest period during the next day.

Blixx
Would anyone mind if Blixx took the ax, he lost one to the subsurface monster earlier, also did our machine companion have anything that might be of help to the group?
Blixx will eat and drink, and wait on the others decision, the last fight with that whip took a lot out of him.

Frank Rock; Veteran Human
Frank let off chasing the bug-men and wearily sat down and took a long drink from his canteen. With a sigh, he shouldered his weapons, moved back to the camp site and helped bury/pile/whatever poor Ghar's remains and help out his companions in whatever way he could. Then he collapsed to get some rest, leaving the decision on where to go from here for later....

Re: CHAPTER 3a: The Thorax Scavengers
Even though he's bleeding badly, Bruze says, "We've cornered them in their home. They must be desperate. Let's move camp, in case they counterattack."
Then the giant bat-thing binds his wounds.
First Aid: [1d20] = 1, Heals: [2d3] = 5

Re: CHAPTER 3a: The Thorax Scavengers
Oor-Zak will add a couple of javelins to his gear. He also picks up the glass bottle and examines it closely, giving it several large sniffs in an attempt to determine waht it is.

Re: CHAPTER 3a: The Thorax Scavengers
...
Backpack, 10' chain, Lantern, Leather armor, polearm, (2) Concussion Grenades, 12 gp & a wrist device (worn like a wristwatch).
Oor-zak examines one of the glass bottles, removes the cap and takes a sniff. His eyes immediately water and burn and he is almost overcome with the sensation to vomit.
