Chapter 3: The Forsaken Village
The party escapes the Dim Forest like a waking mind emerging from a quickly receding nightmare.
They journey on and see in the distance ahead - framed by trees, mist, and a thicket wall of bramble and thorns – Briarsgate.

Chapter 5: The Doom That Came to Briarsgate
Escaping the Golden Grain Inn, the heroes return to the Gade's farmhouse but arrive too late to save them.

Finding the Gade family violently taken, the adventurers seek refuge in a forlorn, abandoned barn for the night.

That night, the decrepit barn suddenly comes under fiery attack from assailants unseen!

Re: Graven Images (art)
The adventurers flee Briarsgate under cover of night, watched by sheep...

... and others. The heroes escape to the outer farms...

... to an abandoned farmhouse leagues east of Briarsgate...

... shadowed by a friendly murder of crows.

Re: Graven Images (the game's story told in pictures)
With the murder of crows watching over them...

...the adventurers search the abandoned farm...

...and find its former owners.
The suicide note reads: "You won't get us."

Re: Graven Images (the game's story told in pictures)
Against the counsel of Sephus the crow...

... the adventurers return to Briarsgate.

They advance through another abandoned cornfield...

...and enter the dark grove of the mysterious "hermit."

There, they find his dilapidated hovel...

...his wolf...

...and the old hermit himself.
