Chapter 10: A Time for Recovery & Revelations
Re: Chapter 10: A Time for Recovery & Revelations
Dungeon Master:
Sister Opal overhears Ewat & says,
"That depends, if Kormak & Victor get out of control, Maya may have both her fists up their asses!", she starts giggling uncontrollably-like.

Wexley:
Wexley rolls his eyes at his fellows antics. He nods to Third, mutters "You coulda had seven," and heads back to his quarters for sleep.

Dungeon Master:
Ok, those in the One-Eyed Cat Tavern, wrap it up for the night, rest up & everyone gets 1 Hit Point of Healing overnight.
Then we start the morning routine, such as visiting the pawn shop, replenishing lost/used provisions, more healing spells, etc.
This will probably cycle for a two to four day stint before everyone is fully healed up.

Ewat:
Ewat looks confused, surprised, and embarrassed in rapid succession. He tries to shuffle away, but bumps into the bronze masked woman. "Oof! Sorry, Miss... uh, masked lady."PyroArrow wrote:This gets Sister Opal on another giggle fit.GreyWolfVT wrote:Kormak "Sure Ewat would you like to be one of the puppets?"

Dungeon Master:
Third just steadies herself after Ewat bumps into her & continues to watch over the crowd.
Ok, is there anymore posts for the Evening visit to the One-Eyed Cat Tavern???
If not everyone else can retire to the Green Man Inn, (they are inner-connected) & rest up until morning, gaining back 1 Hit Point!

Dungeon Master:
Ok, as we move on to morning business:
Hit Points now needed for fully Restored Health:
Idonea needs 4 HP
Kormak needs 2 HP
Maya needs 3 HP
Mort needs 3 HP
Wolfram needs 1 HP
The Party can do the usual restocking, & to get a value on items found can try the pawn shop.
Looks like Mr. Choe is going over to QuarterMaster 'Moose' Moseley's Trader Shop for the Halberd.

Mr. Choe
Returns from the Quarter Master's with a halberd and news.
He tells the party:
"Guess what I learned this morning? Early this morning, long before the sun rose, a battalion of soldiers quietly left the keep, led by Lord Quido Macsen Wiedig, himself."
"The Keep is under lock down until the battalion returns. They will let merchants & commoners in, but no one leaves for now."
"We are all stuck."

"Good work Choe. Well I guess you have some time to search for a fine dress then. I also suppose this means they no longer require us to look for the kmarties."

Dungeon Master:
Sister Opal had arrived at the One-Eyed Cat Tavern, with a roll of her famous Green Moon Cheese, that she makes at her home just 2 doors down from the Green Man Inn.
She sells it to Wilf the bartender there. Simone the waitress is here as well.
When she sits with the adventurers for breakfast she says,
"Someone should go get the 3 gold Dagda chains, that Bloodstone Gem, & the jeweled clasp & maybe the bone scroll case & vellum blank scroll, appraised at the pawn shop!"

Lutha Cee & Wolfram:
Wolfram buys 4 throwing axes - 4 gp subtracted
Lutha reloads his daily spell
Is there anywhere one can pay to get a /possibly magical/ item identified ? In this case: Tenebaum's mace

Life is a roller coaster, if you don't stop to enjoy it then you may as well not even ride.
Re: Chapter 10: A Time for Recovery & Revelations
Dungeon Master:
Mort finds that a dozen arrows is 1 gold or single silver arrow is one gold piece.
Kormak will pay 4 Gold Pieces for 4 Throwing axes.
Questioning Quartermaster Moseley, about the lock down, he say's it's for everyone's safety, until they gauge the enemy's strength when/if the battalion returns.
================================
Maya & Victor take the valuables to the pawn shop, when the walk in they see a guard standing just inside the door with armed with battle axe & crossbow, (there is one on the roof as well).
They meet Curly Culpepper the banker & Gregius the scribe inside. Mouse is not here yet & probably oiling gate gears or fixing locks somewhere in the keep.
Curly & Gregius inspect the items then Curly says,
"The Bloodstone Gem is worth 500 Gold Pieces, the Jeweled Clasp is worth 300 GP, the 3 Dagda Necklaces are worth 100 GP Each."
Gregius unrolls the scroll & sees it is an 8 1/2 by 22 inch vellum with leather reinforcment strips around the edges,
"Big enough to hold 2 spells, this is, the inscriptions on the bone scroll case all alude to the god Dagda."
Gregius estimates a value of 4 gold pieces for the bone scroll case & scroll, if there had been 2 spells on it it could have been worth at least 5,000 Gold pieces he says.
Gregius says,
"If you bring the suspected magic item to me i could try to see if it is magical, yes, i can do one item a day."
