Re: Chapter 7: Cave of the Macabre Heads
Dungeon Master:
Round 1 : Segment 5 Actions:
Wexley fires an arrow at Orc #6 which misses the prone Orc: Bow shot [1d20+1] = 2+1 = 3 + 4 (for being Prone) = 7, damage [1d6] = 2
Kormak takes a swing with his two-handed sword at Orc #7 but misses: Two-Handed Sword[1d20 +1] = 4+1 = 5 + 4 (for being Prone) = 9 Dmg[1d10 +2] = 3+2 = 5 Lrg Dmg[3d6 +2] = 11+2 = 13
Mort gets up bracing himself against the wall & fires a crossbow bolt into Orc #7: Crossbow, Light Hit[1d20 +3] = 14+3 = 17 (+ 4 for being Prone) = 21 Dmg[1d4] = 1 Critical Hit: [1d100] = 38% [Triple Damage] = 3
Maya engages the Orc (#6), "Orcs don't surrender, keel them all!"
She swings her longsword but it whooshes right past Orc #6:
Longsword: [1d20] = 7 + 4 (for being Prone) = 11 Damage: S/M[1d8+1] = 5+1 = 6, L[1d12+1] = 10+1 = 11
With the Illusion done Victor moves up, slicing down into the other prone Orc #7.
Unfortunately, his short sword swing misses.
Short Sword: [1d20] = 3 + 4 (for being Prone) = 7 Damage: S/M[1d6] = 5, L[1d8] = 5
Wolfram whirls a throwing axe at Orc #6, but grossly misjudged the fluid drag force that acts on any moving object in a freestream flow: Axe, throwing, to hit: Axe, throwing, to hit: [1d20+1] = 1+1 = 2 + 4 (for being Prone) = 6, damage vs S/M opp: [1d6+2] = 1+2 = 3 / damage vs L opp: [1d4+2] = 3+2 = 5
Wolfram has 1 more axe he can throw before he needs to retrieve them to use again.
Sister Opal will move up this segment to get near Orc #6
Fr. Tenebaum rolls up his scroll & puts it back it it's case.
Mr. Choe moved towards the back near Fr. Tenebaum.
Orc #6 has 5 HP, Orc #7 has 2 HP

Re: Chapter 7: Cave of the Macabre Heads
Seeing the two prone Orcs come under close combat by the others, Wexley will hold off any further shots and put his vigilance to scanning the passageways and awaiting any further ambush.
Should he spy anything, hear anything beyond what is occurring in their vicinity, he will call out a warning. Should any of the color sprayed Orcs move, he would shoot. When combat with the 2 remaining Orcs is complete...he would also remind folks they need to be dispatched once again and if ignored, would pull out his own blade to do so.

Idonea watches the exchange between Lutha and Tenebaum from behind, tensed and ready to strike.

Mr. Choe
Mr. Choe continues to assess the scene. Father T is cool, the battle is being won! great!
Choe has a paranoid thought and looks outside to see if an enemy could be approaching to put the "pincer" on the party.
Arrow knocked, the gay cross dresser will light up an attacker from the rear. The very thought of the pincer makes him aggressive.

Re: Chapter 7: Cave of the Macabre Heads
Wexley keeps an eye out on each of the passageways as the remaining Orcs are dispatched.Should one attempt to or be able to run, he will shoot his bow to kill it. When Borum returns, he speaks in low whisper. These numbers are too strong for us. We got lucky, but I don't think they will be surprised if we seek to go deeper. He pauses to let this sink in However, the guild always taught us to use things to our advantage. If we pull these bodies back, leave most stacked about here, two about 10 feet in, 1 at the cave mouth and then cut and toss another into the mouth of the OwlBear, being a meat-eater, it will follow the blood trail back here and having this much meat, may stake claim to this cave. He grins for a moment This will mean it will defend its new lair and larder and may even seek out any remaining Orcs within. If we get lucky, one will kill the other and leave the victor in sore shape for our return.
Looking around to see if his infravision can spy any heat moving towards them Also, given a few days in the keep, I have an idea on how to trap anyone, Orc or Owlbear which is here and we can clear that problem out as well. Or, we can leave the mess we create to its own conclusion and inspect the other caves for the Hobs. Its up to you, but I get a feeling any further push into here is going to put us in dire straights with this much initial resistance.

Borum agree's with Wexley's logic and make shift plan "Aye that does sound wise I don't mean to go any further into this cave and I think it wise ta block the cave with their own dead it's a bit demoralizing and dragging or baiting the owlbear is just more insult to incident ta these smelly orcs. Bwahahaha I like yer thinkin Wexley."

Re: Chapter 7: Cave of the Macabre Heads
Pyro, are the Orcs all dead here? If not, we will continue to combat them....if they are. Going to start dragging bodies. One at the cave entrance, two at the mid-point, the rest right her at the tunnel junction. Strip each of them as quickly as possible though and mutilate a few by removing arms (likely cutting off 3 arms) to use as Owlbear bait. One for his cave, another a third of the way here, another a third of the way after that. Once done, back out with Mort and hightail it to the camp, then to the keep
Wexley keeps his bow at the ready till the Orcs are dispatched, then quickly speaks with Borum and sets about to the plan.

Dungeon Master:
Uhmm, the Orcs #6 & #7 are Not Dead Yet!
From the Round 1 : Segment 6 Post above:
Take the remaining typed-ahead posted actions as show in the round 1: Segment 6 post above & use them as the only
adventurers now attacking Orc #6 & #7.
The actions in those remaining Typed-Ahead Posts are enough to Kill both Orcs so Kormak Slices One Orc during Round 1: Segment 7 & Mort Finishes the last Orc during Round 2 : Segment 1.
The Orcs get 1 attack each at a -4 as well, for being prone & it will be either, Borum, Kormak, or Sister Opal that gets attacked (random roll)

So after the random rolling will the two orcs be dead?
