Re: OOC Discussion III: Bride of OOC
I'm going to wait for Dram to make Bragar's rolls and pick which stone to grab first (I mean, unless he never logs in again). I'm also going to be on the road this weekend so I may not get a chance to update until Sunday if Dram doesn't happen to post this afternoon.
It's only a small cliffhanger.

Re: OOC Discussion III: Bride of OOC
Scarlett feels like we should cast darkness and silence 15 radius so we don't see the end and hear each other's death screams.
Re: OOC Discussion III: Bride of OOC
Castran thinks that's a bad plan. He is very much looking forward to watching their just demise.

Gragog doesn't care he thinks the idea of coming here was fool hardy and already expects his own demise

Re: OOC Discussion III: Bride of OOC
Is this true, Zhym? Would it take a PC more than a minute to climb one of these statues?Storm11 wrote:There is no time to climb the statue now
What if the PC had a Climb Skill, like Scarlett?
If it can be done, but Scarlett can't climb and throw gems in one round, could she feasibly climb and knock the gems from their perch? One of the several PCs waiting below could then gather the fallen gems and drop them in the brazier with their actions this round.
Re: OOC Discussion III: Bride of OOC
Hopefully the in-game post answered those questions, at least for the current action.
Generally, though, I'd say climbing up or down a statue would be a full-round action. A person could always jump down, of course, which would incur 1d4 of damage. It ends up being a moot point as far as climbing the other statue is concerned. Since only one stone can be taken at a time, it doesn't matter whether Scarlett could have climbed the other statute and grabbed a stone.

Re: OOC Discussion III: Bride of OOC
I may not be able to post until after 9/12. Please NPC Lar if I do not post until then. TY

Behold Lar the paladin, brave and bold: "You should check out that trapped chest. We'll, uh, wait outside."Cwreando wrote:Lar dazed a bit shakes it off and says, "I lady scarlett, If you can look the chest over by all means. If there are things strahd is guarding and securing that can help us defeat him we must retrieve them. Perhaps the rest of us can wait outside the room just in case and we can place something on the floor to keep the door from closing all the way so it's ajar a bit too."
BTW, I assume everyone will be mostly absent this weekend. I'm also starting a new gig on Monday, so posting may slow down a bit or a lot. We'll see how it goes, but expect delays for a while. Thanks.
Re: OOC Discussion III: Bride of OOC
I'll update the action tonight, so if you have anything you want your PC to do that isn't already posted, you might want to do that today.
Re: OOC Discussion III: Bride of OOC
Am going away next week to Turkey and will have intermittent wifi but will do my best to keep up as I can.

Re: OOC Discussion III: Bride of OOC
Hey,
I'm travelling for work this coming week and don't expect to get online. I'll be back by October 3rd.
Please NPC my character if I'm slowing things down. Agax will pass Castran's magic items to the group. He will drink one dose of the potion of extra healing; he's still smarting from that spear in the back.
Thanks. Have a great week, everyone.

Re: OOC Discussion III: Bride of OOC
How many cards would Agax like to draw from the Deck?
Re: OOC Discussion III: Bride of OOC
I thought the gaming mage would take a draw for sure.
Look at it this way, folks. You're probably doomed already. If you take a risk, you might just get something that would help defeat Strahd.

Re: 11. Beneath the Castle
2 wishes, huh? Should he wish to know on which plane Castran is trapped? I think he'll use his wishes before drawing the other cards.
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Re: OOC Discussion III: Bride of OOC
He is sorely tempted!
Hmmm. What's the benefit of drawing more than 1 card at a time? Are you able to draw again after just drawing 1?
