What is Candy's "Cyclocone?" Could that be of use for getting rid of the poison gas?
You got it.

Is there anything we can actually do about an intellect devourer?

I wondered that too.

It's pretty obvious that we need to deal with that thing before we're all drooling on ourselves.

We could all have our brains eaten one by one... :)

It seems obvious we need to get it out in the open, then attack it while somehow preventing it from getting in someone else. How we'd go about that I have no clue. :(

BTB they're almost impossible to kill. They're only hit by +3 weapons or better and then take only 1 point of damage per hit, a fireball is nothing more than a bright light (which they don't like), a lightning bolt does just 1 point of damage per die, etc.

What you really need to take out an Intellect Devourer is someone with psionics.

I cant say that I ever remember having to face one before this either.

They seem pretty tuff. :D

Trapping it somewhere doesn't seem likely, nor does gassing it somehow.

Perhaps we just leave this area and see if it follows?

Grog did mention the tubes a few times. Maybe it only stays on this level?

Oh wait.......didn't it follow us up here from the level below? (Fing wasn't there at the time) Scratch that then.

There has to be a way to defeat it...........right?

If it bleeds, we can kill it.

But it hasn't bled yet.

What's on our list of tech we haven't figured out yet? The resting period might be a good time to fiddle with that stuff.

It may be helpful to list your treasures in the XP/HP/Treasure etc. thread, if not on your character sheets when one first come across such.

If it takes us over, then it has no more enemies, nobody left to kill it. And then it's won.

No, wait. Wrong John Carpenter/ Kurt Russell movie. I'll go with this instead:

Man, if Porphyry doesn't make it through this, there is no more appropriate way for him to die than being beaten to death by his own companions.
