This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Re: Greetings
Welcome aboard! This site tends to skew a bit more towards older systems than what you listed, but there are some 5E games that get run. Fortunately, there are a number of games using systems that you can download for free and which are pretty easy to learn if you are willing to give them a shot. Also, if you post in the "Looking for Players or Games" thread, you never know what someone might be willing to run if they know there would be interest.
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Welcome, Wallace.
I'll second what Scott308 said, but I'm sure there will still be opportunities for you to find something to your liking. Enjoy!

Don't be afraid to try something new. I've had opportunity to play a number of games I was unfamiliar with, of all different styles and genres. Lots of fun to be had, and plenty of good DMs- some of whom even allow characters to live! For a little while, at least.

Welcome, Wallace!
I love Microscope. I'm not sure that forum play is the best format for it, but if you have ideas for making it work, I'd love to try them out. And I've been meaning to get around to reading my copy of Kingdom.
You'll notice most of the games here are older editions and their retroclones. But I think you'll find players willing to try just about anything you'd like to offer!
