Sharky's Hole.
Re: Sharky's Hole.
"For the Shire!"
"Fatty! Snap out of it! You've been fooled by the white wizard!" Pippin cries as he tries to batter Bolger again, but his blow is hesitant at the sad sight of his enthralled kinsman.
Short Sword: To hit: [1d20+2] = 4+2 = 6, Damage: S/M: [1d6+2] = 3+2 = 5, L: [1d8+2] = 2+2 = 4

Re: Sharky's Hole.
I still need that Save vs. Spells from Pippin, please.
Re: Sharky's Hole.
Barely making ground, tripping and sliding, Merry sees what must be a painful futility of Pippin's actions. Kill him, Pip! It's the only way!
Re: Sharky's Hole.
"Kill Fatty Bolger?!" Pippin thinks in disbelief. "I might as well kill the Shire itself!"

Re: Sharky's Hole.
The Hobbits Regroup: "A harey situation"
Round 5
Pippin completely ignores the the wizards suggestion to protect him, and despite Merry's orders to kill, he slaps at Fatty again with the flat of his sword. The attack does little to disrupt his old friend from standing his ground, still blocking Pip's way to the very dangerous wizard. Saruman snickers again at how easy this all seems to be.
The clumsy Merry actually musters up the power to shake off the affects of the wizards fumbling magic. (your rolled 18 easily saves) He charges up the steps to confront their friend Fatty before Pippin kills him outright. The heavily armed and armored captain of Rohan has little problem tackling his unarmed adversary to the ground, landing hard down on top of him, allowing his cousin and the others to advance. (I took a little liberty on your action to move things along, hope you don't mind)
Sam and Farmer Cotton decide that they can't fight what they can't see so they both turn from the tunnel and re-enter the large, noisy, hot chamber, assuming that the cowardly Worm has simply run away from the battle. Once back inside, they spot the others charging at the wizard on his elevated ledge.
Once a few more get within striking range, Saruman decides that 4 angry halflings with magical weapons might be too much for him to handle in his condition. No matter, the wizard knows more than one way to skin a hobbit. He rushes over to the cavern wall and starts walking directly up it like a common arachnid. Before Frodo and the others can get to him, he is already too far out of the reach of their short swords. He continues walking up the ceiling to the center of the cavern, about ten feet above the ledge and 30 feet above the floor of the place. He turns to point his staff at Pippin as he stands upside down from the ceiling, his long white hair and beard now hanging oddly toward the floor, making him look a bit like a giant, white, hairy, bat with no wings.
Farmer Cotton attempts to sling a rock at the creepy wizard, hoping to knock him from his bizarre high perch. The rock flies away harmlessly without incident as the stout farmer begins to feel his own body now morphing into something different. He drops his hunting sling and stones, coincidentally, in nearly the same exact place that Hob dropped his own bow and arrows earlier. His form begins to contort and change, causing him a great deal of pain and discomfort. He is unable to physically stop the change and quickly begins to shrink in size, magically morphing into a tiny, harmless white coney.
System Shock roll please to see if you can survive that ordeal. You need a 95 or less on a [d100] (if so, you can still make an action, however you are now limited to doing only things that a little white bunny rabbit could do)
The badly wounded and hideously ugly Grima Wormtongue suddenly reappears, standing in the doorway of the tunnel with his slender wand in one hand and a less than menacing look on his pale, smirking, satisfied face.

Sam reverses his charge, running towards the now-visible Grima.
Should an attack be possible:Shortsword (THACO 18) [1d20] = 16 damage: [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7

Sam staggers briefly mid-stride, shakes something off, and cries out, "Keep your wormtongue out of my ear, Grima!" and continues his charge.

Re: Sharky's Hole.
The Hobbits Can Really Make Saving Throws!!!
Round 6
As Sam sees the white wizard fleeing to his ceiling perch, he decides to turn back and go after Grima instead. He hears the man’s slimy words in his ear, magically whispering something about killing his friend Merry. The stout hobbit shrugs off the powerful suggestion and continues charging, his sword poised for action. He shouts for the others to grab the discarded range weapons, which they of course ignore. Frodo follows his oldest friend, happy to help take down the evil Wormtongue.
As Worm smirks at the number he did on Farmer Cotton, the hearty hobbit turned bunny tries the only thing he can think of in this time of dire need. He rushes in and jumps at the mage, leading with his sharp, nasty, pointy teeth. He goes right for the most vulnerable place he can think of. At the very last second, Grima blocks the bunny’s path to his nether region, blocking the attack with his arm and getting bit hard in the process. 1 dam Wormtongue seems slightly staggered by the bite, indicating his current weakened condition, but he flings the rabbit off of him with relative ease, sending the former Farmer Cotton back to the ground in a furry white ball of fury. Grima immediately begins another quick incantation.
Merry is easily able to keep Fatty at bay due to his greater size, strength, and of course being fully armed and armored. His old friend stares into his eyes as if to say “help me”, but he continues his attempts to wrestle the larger halfling off of him. Pippin finds a few stones at his feet and he takes advantage, picking one up and chucking it at the inverted white wizard. It hits the old man in the shoulder but causes him little damage. 1 dam Sharky retaliates by pointing his staff directly at the foolish hobbit. Pip begins to feel himself lifting up off of the floor, as if he were now also floating up to the ceiling. He immediately shrugs off the effect with little concern of course, oblivious to the idea of how easy it would be for the mage to fling his little body across the room with his magic. He smiles wide as he picks up another rock, preparing for another toss.
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any weirder, Wormtongue again jumps into action just before Sam and Frodo are able to attack. After a few quick syllables, he pulls out what looks like a common grasshopper and tears off its back legs. He instantly jumps up surprisingly high, almost straight into the air, grabbing onto and hugging his old master Saruman in the process. He quickly spins around so his feet touch the rock ceiling and does the same thing again, jumping upside down from the ceiling and crashing back to the floor. He uses the body of Saruman to break his fall as best he can but still staggers himself badly. 8 dam to Sharky and 3 dam to Worm The fall nearly kills the demented Grima, but he still manages to screech out a short diatribe into his masters ear about his recent treatment.
"Why wouldn't you help me?! I've done nothing but serve you! I heed your every word! All I have wanted is your approval and you do nothing but use me and then throw me to the rabbits to be torn to pieces! Rabbits terrify me! Come down to the floor and meet some! You are a terrible mentor!!"
The duo now lie on the floor in a heap as Sam, Frodo, and Cotton Tail advance on them, their weapons (and teeth) leading the way.
Actions!
It might have seemed like Grima got 2 actions that round but his first spell was actually cast at the end of last round. I didn't want anyone to think I was favoring the bad guys here.

Farmer Cotton Tail
Not too happy... not at all... he wants to take another bite out of Grima, but sees the greatest danger in the staff wielding wizard. He rushes forward intent on taking a bite out of the hand that holds the staff!
To hit +2 to charge
[1d20+2] = 18+2 = 20
Damage
[1d2] = 2

Re: Sharky's Hole.
Ever willing to meddle with magic, young Pippin scurries down and says, "Thank you most kindly, Farmer Cottontail!" as he picks up the wizard's staff in his two hot, little, eager hands.
He points the staff at Saruman and emphatically repeats any magic words the white wizard had uttered when he pointed it at Farmer Cotton. If Pippin hadn't heard any, then he would say, "I wish you were a slug!"
If the rabbit bite didn't cause Saruman to loosen his grip on the staff, then Pippin would strike the prone wizard with his elvish blade instead.
If no Staff, then Short Sword: To hit: [1d20+2] = 9+2 = 11, Damage: S/M: [1d6+2] = 5+2 = 7, L: [1d8+2] = 8+2 = 10
Macro doesn't include bonuses for prone target, if any.

Re: Sharky's Hole.
The Hobbits Get Some Help
Round 7
Grima looks nearly spent after jumping up and pulling Saruman from the safety of his high perch and landing on top of him when they crashed to the floor. He seems to only be animate from the fumes of receding adrenaline. He has a pronounced twitch evident in his neck and head while his eyes dart every which way at once. He looks down at the wizard-turned-mattress with utter contempt and spits on him. Meet the rabbits! is spat out with venom. Grima then prepares for the horde of inrushing rabbits while recanting his last act. He begins mumbling another incantation as he awaits his fate. In that final moment he screeches out something only he understands the meaning of: I just wanted to be a cobbler!!
Bunny Cotton Tail sees this and decides to spare the old toad, instead attempting to take a bite out of the much more dangerous white wizard. He leaps over and sinks his large front teeth into the soft flesh of Saruman who lets out a loud howl of pain. 2 dam The old man is unaccustomed to feeling the pains of mere mortals it would seem. Grima just smiles at the rabbit as he tries to right himself from the pile, reaching for his wand as he does so.
The rest of the hobbits rush back down the steps, trying to get in a shot at the pile of wizards. Pippin is the first to arrive. Even though he seems a bit confused, he takes a swing at Saruman as he attempts to stand. The wizard, although groggy, is just able to side step his vicious swing.
Frodo also rushes in, trying to eliminate Grima once and for all while he attempts to stand up. Sting does not hold up to its name this time as the blow misses its mark. Master Frodo gets a little surprise himself as the mage reaches out and grabs him around his tiny leg. A sudden burst of electricity shoots throughout the halflings body from the touch, shocking him and causing some minor burns. 9 dam Grima smirks again as he looks at the hobbit leader's surprised expression.
Sam and Merry also rush into the fray, leaving Fatty behind. Sam stumbles as he gets to the pile and is unable to help with either adversary. Merry charges in with his sword ready for action. The much weakened Fatty Bolger finally gets to his feet and slowly descends the steps, still trying to stop the others from hurting Sharky. He begins to make his way towards the melee. Saruman stands and begins to backpedal away from the fracas, weaving yet another spell as he does so.
