The Haunted Tower AD&D 2e Game (Closed!)

#1 Post by GreyWolfVT »

I want to be very upfront about this but there is no set date for when this game would be "live". Right now this game is hinging based on how soon my Al-Qadim game finishes up the "quest" they currently are on.

So reminder: Start Date is TBD currently.

The game is designed for up to 6 Level 3-5 PC's.

I'm looking at and currently considering running the game through The Haunted Tower I believe if my sources are accurate this was originally a board game. In reading the read this first page of the pdf copy I have it says this is a deluxe adventure for the D&D game and a fantasy action adventure board game.

The game is split into what basically looks like 3 smaller modules combined.

Here is the "teaser" handout from the pdf for players it might help with interest. I am thinking of running this with no more than 6 no fewer than 4 players. Starting at probably level 3 unless there are only 4 players.

It looks fun. I doubt you will have issues getting enough players but if you end up having room I will take a slot but I am OK waiting and letting some others who are not in as many games jump in first.

I can make a character. Am familiar with 2e.

I can post most days if needed. I tend to pick my character race and class after rolling stats but am happy to play any sort and be creative with role play.

Alright I'll add you to the list. Reading through the pdf a bit it does mention that there are pre-made characters but I like to offer players the choice of making their own. Once I this does start up I will most likely offer both options.

Pre-made vs Make your own PC.

Thanks for having me! Group is shaping up well.

How deep down the 2E rabbit hole can we go if we create our own characters? Specialists/kits, etc....

I'm debating on this. I'm thinking the complete handbooks I am willing to allow. But I'd like to avoid the Forgotten Realms line of specialists. Basically make your case to me and I'll consider it. As I was mentioning to wolfpack I'd like to let the players be able to play what they would enjoy but not make things overly complicated for all of us.

If it helps I am thinking of using the Celtic Pantheon for deities. If you need help with the information for that part I have the Legends & Lore book.
