Front Page

According to a Press Memo released by the Mayor this morning, the news Ghostbusters Headquarters located at 402 Towsen Avenue is set to officially open tomorrow. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony in the morning at 10am. Rumors of this new business has had a lot of citizens talking. Many would seem to be excited about this new organization moving into our fair and illustrious, God-fearing town, but we did some digging and found a silent majority who are very skeptical. More tonight at 10pm, on Channel 3.

In other news: the police chief would like to remind everyone, that until the "Foot Loose Law" is possibly voted down in November, there is still no dancing allowed in the city district on Sundays. Channel 3 is watching! That last part is actually not a joke.

BREAKING NEWS

Riot had broken out at the Fort Smith Coffee Co.! Police are just arriving at the scene, but Channel 3 was there first!!! Bur Westmolen is there live and we go to him now!
258s.jpg
258s.jpg (15.05 KiB) Viewed 5676 times
A slightly more than middle-aged man comes up on the screen wearing a long coat against the rain and a brimmed hat. His big mustache almost completely hides his mouth as she talks excitedly into the microphone in front of the coffee house.

Complete and utter chaos and disorder in our small fair town, Guy. Moments ago, riots and madness broke out in what was moments ago a peaceful and respectable establishment of local entrepreneurship. Now descended into the bowels of disorder and misbehaving. A blemish on our fair city and its otherwise upright citizenry.

About then there is a large glass coffee pot that crashes through the front glass of the coffee house behind him followed by cries of panic from the crowd and manic laughter from inside. Bur slowly turns back to the camera with mournful eyes and what looks like a very well rehearsed shaking of his head. Pandemonium in our fine city... common everyday citizens driven made by their insatiable need for caffeine...

About this time a large man that looks like he had just gotten off work recently pushes into the camera. It's not the people that live here doin it! It's...

Bur recovers quickly. You heard it here first folks! Infiltrators of our fair city from the outside come to loot and pillage the good people...

No! It's a ghost! I saw it! About so big... red with green eyes! It came out of nowhere and started wrecking the place...

Bur stepped in front of the big man as the camera zoomed out a little but kept only Bur in the picture. Mas delirium ensues as Ghostbuster Mania is let loose upon our good people! Is this some publicity stunt by the so-called Ghostbusters? Have they planted the seed of madness and discord among our fine people in an elaborate deception to pull the wool over innocent eyes to make a buck?
Is it them...
He points and the camera pans around to look at the new sign on the front of the firehouse only about a block away. who have caused this in our fair quiet little town of good people? Have they brought their criminal organization here to bamboozle the citizens of Fort Smith? Channel 3 News wants to know! The camera turns in time to see Bur obviously moving to strike a pose after tapping the cameraman's shoulder.

It is all over the news and radio about the Ribbon Cutting today. The local News and DJs cannot stop talking about how there was another very public confrontation between the Mayor and Father Belmont, and how the Ghostbusters new Firehouse is officially open.

Screacher is lighting up with #OldFortGB #MayorSanders #Belmont #DeathBattle #TV3News and the team's personal as well as company accounts are getting tagged. Clips and audio are circulating of the Ribbon Cutting as well as the busting from yesterday experience another surge in shares. There is even a couple pictures of the guys at Slimmerman Motors and of the guys driving back to the firehouse that passers-by must have snapped and shared as well. Looks like the team is big news!

Historical Site Webcam Looks like we had more than a few visitors last night at the historical site. It's a great place for a night time strole, but remember that even though the public is welcome, you are at your own risk since there is no staff. There are some steep dropoffs near the river and as always, be careful around the RR Tracks. #HistoricFtSmith #Safety

BREAKING NEWS

An anchor with a pressed suit and impossibly perfect hair starts to newscast saying the headline: Problems plaguing the Mayors new Ghostbusters company. Here with more, is our own Bur Westmolen. Bur?

As the voice of the reporter speaks, there is a shot of Bur walking along the sidewalk in a closeup until it pulls out to show the front of the firehouse. Troubles, problems, even injuries, and even abandonment. In only a few days, the Old Fort Ghostbusters have had some bad luck getting on their feet. Is this what we should expect going forward from the mayor's latest pet project?
Firehouse.shopfront.jpg

It has come to our attention that one of the original Ghostbusters to have started only some days ago has already been sent to the local hospital, and to the psyche ward no less. He has been sent back home to recover but his official resignation crossed to desk of city officials just this morning. In a turn of irony, yet another Ghostbuster was hospitalized this morning. Doctors were unwilling to comment on the type or extent of his injuries, but it raises a question to the companies safety practices as well as their hiring practices.

In other news, I, Bur Westmolen, have heard from the team members themselves, that one of their key pieces of equipment, the Containment Unit, may not be safe either.
There is a cutaway to the stock footage of the New York event that most everyone was now familiar with.
Containment.Unit.gif
Containment.Unit.gif (1.43 MiB) Viewed 5059 times
Could such an event happen here if the containment unit is breached? Should the fine people of Fort Smith be worried about such unlicenced nuclear equipment malfunctioning at any time without our town? Possibly even someone's home?

The screen switches back to the anchor. Bur these are some real concerns that everyone should be considering. Is this an ongoing threat? Is there any resolution being considered?

The cameras switch back to Bur standing under the OFGB sign. There is some good news in all this. Today I had the privilege of speaking with one of the new hires that were sent in, presumably for his specialties in dealing with such complicated equipment. The image of Joker's employee photo is on the screen with his name listed. In speaking with Dzjokar Jelal, aka "Joker", he said he was a talented engineer who has even managed to duplicate some of the Late Dr. Egon Spangler's oh work. He will be taking a look of all the equipment and ensure safety standards are finally met within the Mayor's latest venture.

Back to the anchor. An up note indeed. Next up! Are you going poop enough? One local doctor says, Maybe too much.
If you are a diner at Juan's Mexican restaurant, you will want to hear this one...

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

I'll do it. I'm sure I've got more experience around reporters than the rest of you put together. Hell, just Bowl Week alone...anyway, Joker, he said nice things about you, at least. I think we can consider that the exclusive he had been promised. This is in no way just on you, Etta. We had opportunities. I did say something, but should have been more forceful. Bur was looking to cause trouble.

Julia, could you get a couple "No media allowed" signs made up that we can put at the entrances. Also, who in town could we give an exclusive to that would really piss off Bur? We should tell our side of things, otherwise people will think this hatchet job is accurate. Our safety practices? Really? He was bit by venomous snakes! That's not a Ghostbusters thing, it's an Arkansas thing!

Screecher  is blowing up with news about the BBQ Job.  Tones of photos, videos, and 1st hand accounts of what happened.  ReSchreeches and comments are through the roof!  Everyone is getting tagged and the praise is high.

YouTube

GoProJerad  Wow, folks!  If you have been wondering where the Ghostbusters were the past few days, your answer was just served up with a side of potato salad and some of that sweet sweet sauce!  Yes, for the record, we have had some smaller reports of them the past couple weeks investigating various cases that have come up empty, but oh boy!  Yesterday, They made the top of the news again!
Apparently, some ghost got into the kitchen of Ralph's Pink Flamingo BBQ, and wrecked the place!  They destroyed the dining area and harassed customers and employees after possessing some dead pigs in the kitchen.  One of them ever got outside!  Look at this!

Footage obviously taken from across the street, shows the scene of the Hot Hog charging through the parking lot and leaving a trail of fire behind it only to get blasted and sucked into the trap.  Gasp and cried of horror turn to cheers as Joker moves forward and holds up the steaming trap before depositing it into the Ecto.

Now the screen splits to show the more edited footage of the team lining up to head inside the restaurant, followed by the bright flashes from within while they were likely taking down Cypork.  Look at this folks!  Wow!  So you can see here that later the Police showed up and quickly coordinated and effort to assist.  Here you can see the two teams splitting off to cover both entrances.  There is the Fire and EMS which were right across the street mind you, and that was a good thing because this time...?  There were casualties.  Yes.  Ghost can hurt people. Look at this.  All these people are being treated for injuries.  And these are the ones that were able to get out.  And here!  Right here!  See these two?  These were the hostages that one of the ghosts had inside.  Think about what this means.  If anyone has any doubts to why we have tax dollars going to the Ghostbusters, and insurance programs for this kind of thing... This is why.  People. Got. Hurt. and it could have been a lot worse.  Great job guys.  That's it for now.  I'll have another video up in a bit.  See you guys, then.

TV

Channel 26 The Ghostbusters.  They are the talk of the town in recent weeks and yesterday afternoon they had one of their most impressive rescues in town so far.  As you can remember at the beginning of this month, the ghostbusters first made their debut in the city by busting a rampaging ghost at the Fort Smith Coffee Company.  Since then they have been seen all over town and reportedly had more than a few similar encounters.  What you are seeing now is footage from the GoProJerad YouTube Channel showing the incident that escalated to the point that even the police SWAT team was called out to assist.  Multiple injuries were reported, but witnesses are hailing the ghostbusters as heroes.

The screen switches to the image of one of the people in the crowd Joker would recognize who had been injured.  They came in and acted quick.  It only took a handful of minutes for them to completely calm the situation down.  The police went in after, hostages were escorted out and put in ambulances, and right after that, everyone was walking out.

Another witness listed in the caption as being an employee.  Well, we were standing there, and we were workin' there, and the pigs were there, and then they were standin' there, then they uz chasin us there, and people were screamin' there, so we ran out there, and the ghostbusters got there, and now here I am.[/doalog]

Now a shot of Sgt. Hightail [dialogue]We received an emergency dispatch about 2pm. We followed protocol for similar situations, trying to be ready for a worst-case scenario as we would in any other case.  When it was mentioned that there were hostages, that is when we called in the tactical unit.  Luckily it was not needed in the end, and we were also fortunate that there is a fire and rescue station across the street from where the incident took place.  The Ghostbusters already had a handle on the situation when we arrived on the scene, and we worked in cooperation with them to finish defusing the situation.

Reporter:   What was your opinion of the ghostbusters and their handling of the situation?

Sgt. Hightail  I find them to be both professional and good at what they do.

The screen cuts back to the Anchor:  Thank you, Greg.  The mayor had this statement to make this morning at the weekly prayer breakfast.

Mayor Sanders  Thank god for Fort Smith's finest!  Our police, our fire and rescue, EMS, and most especially my new Ghostbusters Plan.  We're saving lives and improving the quality of life in our city with our paranormal extermination of these unholy pests that have reared their head.  But rest assure.  This term, and all terms going forward, that my office will make it the top priority to keep all our citizens, and guests, safe and protected from any and all threats just as we saw yesterday.

Radio... All Channels

Well if you haven't heard already, you must be living under a rock!  Ghostbusters!  The name being chanted in the streets by onlookers and now all over the airwaves and social media.  The local GB #316 a.k.a. The Old Fort Ghostbusters made a real show of force yesterday when they stopped, not one, not, two, but three possibly even four ghosts depending on sources, who were rampaging through a local eatery.  Ralph's Pink Flamingo was suddenly and viciously attacked by the rampaging remnants and there were multiple casualties.  The Ghostbusters, namely: Lionel "Freight Train" William, Dr. Jason O'Roarke, Roy O'Dowd, David "Mac" McAuslan, and Dzz...jokar "Joker" Jelal; burst into the scene that resembled more of an out of control street fight in the parking lot before going inside to take on more of the murderous ghost within.  In the span of about half an hour, they not only "Trapped" that ghosts, but saved no less than 2 hostages.  All victims of this attack who survived are expected to make a full recovery.  We'll bring you more as the details arise.  For now though:  Thank god for the Ghostbusters!

Jamie Roth = Reporter Channel 4 News Ghostbusters Package

Anchor So we have the ghostbusters. The talk of the town. Sure some have reported on them rather negatively, but as Channel 4 News Reporter Jamie Roth shows us, there is a lot to talk up when you see it all put together, Jamie?

JR Thanks Vince! I am standing here before Ghostbuster Firehouse #316, where only a few weeks ago, the town officially opened its very first department of supernatural investigators and... for lack of a better way to put it, paranormal control.

The shot of Jamie in from of the firehouse cuts away to video with her voice over it. The audio matches the scenes edited together to highlight various missions and happenings in town that the team has been involved in. When the Old Fort Ghostbusters arrived in town in early August, they were not even officially open when on a dark and stormy afternoon, they were called upon to come to save a local coffee shop under attack from a violent ghost. The Old Fort Coffee Co. had been suddenly attacked when the first arrivals of the team had come running... yes, actually running as you can see here from video taken by Channel 4 News Hawk, Joey Muggs. There is cell phone video of the team running in full gear from the Firehouse to the parking lot where Jason, Roy, Lionel, and Jacob rush onto the scene and quickly enter into the coffee shop. It then cuts to a more high-quality video taken by the news crew you haven't seen before that clearly shows the action leading to the ghost called Red getting trapped. And despite that damage, the federal Paranormal Insurance Bureau has already paid in full to cover the damages. Here is a shot of the Fort Smith Coffee Co.'s interior today, busier than ever with a few added decorations...

It switches to a shot of Billy & Jean, the owners you remember, looking far happier and standing by their coffee bar with a new sign on the brick column, it reads: The First Ghost Busted in Fort Smith was Right Here! with an arrow pointing at a blasted part of the countertop that has been left blemished and varnished over to preserve the spot where the team set up the crossfire that grabbed the ghost.

My wife and I are so ecstatic. Those guys are heroes, because that could have been so much worse. more people could have been hurt and if the ghost was still here, obviously we would have had to close our business, but thanks to them and the federal program that covered our reopening and repair cost, we are doing better than ever.

Exactly! If anything, I know this is crazy, but we have more business than ever! Everyone seems to want to come get a cup of coffee where they know the first official ghost in Fort Smith was caught. Those guys can come in and ask for anything, and we will do it.

Surprise!!!! There is a cut to a video interview of Jeanine Melnitz! It is for these reasons that I have dedicated years to helping not just the men and women that put on the uniform, but to those that find themselves victims of sudden hauntings. We cannot as a country allow people to have their homes and livelihoods at constant risk of destruction, nor should those that come to help dispose of these entities be prosecuted for doing their jobs. Because of these moral obligations, which we cannot ignore in today's world, I am happy to see the continued funding of The PIB.

Back to Jamie. And it took only one day more for the Ghostbusters to make the news at the official opening at a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Mayor. There is a well edited selection of scenes from the ceremony leading up to the actually cutting, it is tasteful and does not expound on the Mayor and Father Belmont's personal arguments, though one cannot help but notice how rushed the ceremony and posted picture seems. Etta and Mac's presence is noted as well as the absence of Jacob who had just been taken to the Hospital after his nervous breakdown in the basement after the recatching of Red.

A Shot of the Smiling Mayor sitting in his office. I for one am nothing but excited about this new service I have brought to town with the help of our city council. They made the right decision in supporting my proposal and as you can see, we have been very successful and spared no expense!

There is a switch to Jamie voicing over some scenes from John Henry Tooling Warehouse. The team also wasted no time investigating leads on long time hauntings and legends of local businesses and landmarks. Busting a ghost that haunted this local business since the 1950s, it then switches to scenes from the Cavanaugh Mound. To resolving problems with demigods near small town local churches while enlisting the aid of local natives. Awww... they got a shot of Thomas Ten-Chiefs waving from his daughter's truck window as they pulled out that night.

Now the shot shifts to the scenes from your supernatural game of football with The Harper Five at the University. And you know I could never make something like this up. The team even found time to play a game of football on the campus green before trapping 5 ghosts at the same time! There is a quick succession of clips from all 5 ghosts getting trapped by the exhausted team.

Then there is another on the scene shot of Jamie speaking in the parking lot of Pink Flamingo BBQ: And last, but certainly not least, there was the scene that unfolded here, at a local BBQ joint, where the Ghost, came to the team as the attack spilled out into the parking lot when some especially destructive trio of ghost caused so much damage, that are you can see, they are still rebuilding.

Cut to Ralph, the owner. Look, I see it like this, they... the ghosts I mean, were literally out for blood. There were some folks that.... I honestly don't want to talk about it honestly, but it could have been so much worse. What if we didn't have the ghostbusters?
Would these ghost still be out hurting people? I certainly wouldn't have a business anymore! Insurance is paying for everything, so I am nothing but thankful, and in a couple more weeks, we will be back in business like before. I can't thank them enough.

Cut back to Jamie in front of the Firehouse: And there you have it. It has not even been a month yet, and this is the accumulated service this group of heroes have already added to their already impressive resume. I am sure I speak for us all when I say I am looking forward to seeing what they do next. Back to you Vince.

Jamie Roth = Reporter Channel 4 News Ghostbusters Footage 8-26-18

Anchor Well, it was just last night that we saw the package by Jamie Roth on the Ghostbusters, and here we are with an exclusive tonight. Jamie, have you been working a little overtime?

JR Thanks, Vince! I happened to be lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. The Ghostbusters as you can see here...

It cuts to the edited down footage of them coming down into the underground tunnel and walking up to the bricked-up wall at the end.

JR As you can see, the ghostbusters stumbled upon an underground tunnel separate from the sewer and drainage systems in the city. Once down here, they began getting readings from beyond this wall you see here...

Mac and Lionel look awesome when they team up to bust it down.

JR Once we were inside, there was a lot of psychokenetic activity almost right away. you can tell she is reading notes off camera just then. We warn you that the following images can get a bit graphic and our more sensitive viewers may want to turn away...

You can see the tools of the maintenance room begins flying about when Joker was caught off guard and was messed up pretty bad. It is cut to be at least somewhat tasteful, skipping the worse of it and keeping it to when it happened from a distance and the aftermath when Joker was patched up a bit but still bloodied.

JR It was later that the busters began tracking this entity that you can see right here... there is a great stillshot of the BBEG in the frame just as Jason and Mac get a beam and some slime on him in the landry area. Then it cuts to the view Jamie had as the same ghost charged Lionel and Jamie before going through the wall. The audio plays with Lionel helping her get air back in her lungs and coaching her through it while the others chase the ghost. Then it cuts to the view of Sam, The Nun, and Jack talking to Jason and then haming it up for the camera. There is another cut and you get a real first person view of the BBEG attacking Jamie despite the less than perfect camera phone and lighting conditions, you realize there is a lot to be analyzed later as you see an aura of energy visibly being pulled from Jamie's view into the ghost.

Anchor Jamie? Are you attacked here?

JR That's right, Vince. I would have a hard time explaining what that felt like, but lets suffice it to say it was not something I care to experience again.

You then get a good look at Jack clashes with the other ghost just before the lightshow starts. The camera drops and juggles a moment before picking up again to capture the rest of the footage as the guys do what they do. The Trap opens and the two ghosts are pulled inside.

There is some surprisingly good footage of Sister Bethany moving towards Jamie and the camera manages to capture some interesting aura like lights as the nun fades while healing Jamie.

JR The ghost you are seeing here is the long deceased Sister Bethany Francis who worked at the hospital in the 1930s, before going missing. After further investigation, her remains were found, along with those of a man identified as Harlem Harper, who was a patient of her's, who went missing the same time as she did, so both ghosts were haunting the basement. there is a cut to Sister Bethany as she fades away.

Anchor appears back on a split screen with Jamie Wow, that is a heck of a story. So Jamie, what about this tunnel that lead the Ghostbusters and yourself into the basement? Can you tell us a little about that?

JR the spunky reporter gives a smirk. Turns out that this confirms, at least in part, the old legends of a network of tunnels connecting the old buildings downtown. We are not sure how extensive they are, but stories have been circulating for decades about a set of underground tunnels coming from the river to the old fort, as well as many downtown buildings and neighborhoods, even residences in the older parts of town.
Apparently, some of these tunnels were also connected from the local convent at St. Scholastica and Imaculate Conception Temple, which also ran to the original hospital. Most of them have been bricked up or even collapse today, and the Fort Smith PD as well as the Fire and Safty advise residents to please keep away, as the tunnels have been mostly abandoned and there are no surviving maps of where they might lead.

Anchor Wow, Thank you Jamie. Up next, are you pooping enough? Doctors from the University of Arkansas say, maybe not... More when we come back...

Channel 24 shows up a little after Jamie and has footage of the team loading their gear into the Ecto and snags an interview with a very reluctant Jessica.

Jamie Roth = Reporter Channel 4 News Ghostbusters Footage 9-10-18

As usual, Jamie has a new scoop on local news, and her story is teased in the intro as the news comes on.

Anchor Ghostbusters, Witches, and Old Ghost Stories, Oh My! Jamie Roth is on the case again, uncovering yet another eventful day in Historic Fort Smith. Hello everyone, this is Vince Neal for Channel 4 News, your station for local news. We top out newscast this afternoon with a real head-turner. Jamie Roth is here to tell us more. Jamie?

JR Thanks, Vince! I'm in front of the house that was the sight of another big Ghostbusting event...

The footage cut from Jamie to a reproduced package with her voice speaking over a video of the Ghostbusters and witches exiting the house. The Ghostbusters were called here at 601 North E Street in the Fort Smith Historical District for what was called a routine investigation into paranormal activity, but things quickly turned serious when the team of Lionel 'Freight Train' Williams, Roy O'Dowd, Dzjokar "Joker" Jelal, Dr. Jason O'Roarke, and David "Mac" McAuslan... with every name she mentions, a picture of them from the Firehouse's Press Release Packet is superimposed over the footage with their names as the video blurs out a little more with each image added to the screen until there are two neat rows of three headshots.
Just for fun, roll moderate cool to see what your press release pictures do for you. Are they photographic works of art or pieces of work?
As you can see here from the footage we took after, there is a lot of damage to the house. There are large windows blown out and other damage inside. The owner of the property has filed a complaint about the damage done, but it has since come out that he does not have insurance on the property against supernatural activities or their removal. This means, the cost, is on him. We tried to reach out to the owner, but he declined to comment.

There is a cut back to the live footage from this afternoon. There is a good shot of the Ghostbusters bringing out their equipment to load into the back of the ecto, part of which is Joker's Field Device. There are also many of the witches coming out of the house, a good deal of which are covering their faces once they notice the cameras.

Another interesting part of this, is the reemergence of the local legends, the Blackwell Witches. Calling themselves simply D.O.O.R. which stands for Department of Occult Research. Well, I did some research of my own, and this is what I found...

The screen cuts to some infographics that fill in and overlay each other as Jamie speaks. Including some of the same pictures and articles that Samuel had laid out for you to find in the library when you found your first hints about this after the cemetery investigation: viewtopic.php?p=486995#p486995

The house has been in Fort Smith for over a century and was originally built by Samuel Blackwell Adams and his wife Mary Blackwell Adams, both of whom led what was called Mysterious lives who died under equally mysterious circumstances. There have since been several generations of the Blackwell family that have lived in this house, which was always passed down to their descendants until several years back in 2002 when the last Owner, Gloria Mary Joliet, the last descendent of the Blackwell family and Great-Great-Grandaughter of Samuel Blackwell sold it to the current owners and moved to Van Buren. Adding to the intrigue of what happened today, Gloria's daughter, Jenevieve Joliet, is head of D.O.O.R., which you will remember is the name of the organization that was here aiding the Ghostbusters today. They declined to comment and most left before we could ask.

The package ends and it is Jamie at the live shot again. She has moved to the corner so that both entrances to the house from either street are visible along with the police tape over the windows which have been boarded up. Vince, the Ghostbusters have been very active this year since coming to town and this is just one of the latest instances where we have been able to cover their work. What makes today stand out is the historical implications of this location as well as the apparent connection to D.O.O.R. and the Blackwell family; making this story stick out in ways previous ones have not. The Blackwells have a long history in Fort Smith and possibly date back to before the founding of the town itself.

The camera cuts back to Vince in the studio. Jamie, is it true that the Blackwell family has a criminal history?

When the camera cuts back to Jamie it is clear that was not the question she was expecting, and she is just barely hiding that this makes her upset, but ever on her toes, she nods and calmly speaks. Yes, it is true that like many families in this area, they have a history of one kind or another with police. Notably, the family has also aided the police in a famous missing person investigation back in 2016 where they helped find the remains of Sarah Hemsly, which led to the trial and conviction of her killer Michael Harper.

There is a pregnant pause as Jamie stares into the live feed camera before it cuts back to Vince: Thank you, Jamie, I'm sure there is a lot more to uncover here for this story. Keep us up to date. In other news, what do the tires on your car say about you? Our local expert has some insight that might make you second guess those mud tires on your jeep... Up next, on Channel 4 News.

Other pieces connected to the package later in other newscasts have parts of Lionel's interview, but there are large portions edited out. No mention of the Mayor.

Guy Edson: Channel 26 News D.O.O.R. Footage 9-10-18

Female Anchor: In local news today, a local residence was the sight of another visit by the ghostbusters this afternoon. But that's not all.
Here with more is Guy Edson. Guy?

Guy: Thanks, Tara. I'm here in Historic Downtown Fort Smith and if you look across the street here, you can see the house where the ghostbusters visited today, and as you can see there is noticeable damage, mostly from large broken windows and reportedly damage to the ceiling and walls according to the owner of the property. Interesting enough, that is not all. The image shifts to recorded video from the scene today. As you can see here in this video, the Blackwell Witches, who call themselves D.O.O.R., were also present. Now D.O.O.R. as you know has been advertising their so-called services to police and others willing to hire than as a kind of quasi-private investigation group. Their connection here, and with the Ghostbusters, opens a lot of questions. We tried to get one of the witches, who refer to themselves as Hermetics to answer a few questions.

The video shifts again to Jessica. She is clearly being followed as she speaks and seems to be trying to step away.

Guy: Are you one of the Blackwell Witches?

Jessica: We are Hermedics...

Guy: And you work with D.O.O.R.?

Jessica: Yes... you can find our information online.

Guy: Are you responsible for what happened here today?

Jessica: Take that up with the owner and the Ghostbusters... Please, get out of my way...

Guy: One more question. Is magic real?

Jessica: She stops and looks from Guy to the camera and back, looking irritated. There are some things that people like you will never be able to understand. She then sidesteps the reporter and quickly moves past him and he and his cameraman try following her as she moves at a near jog.

Guy: Wait... Miss? What do you mean by that? What is it you're trying to say....? Jessica moves around a corner much like she had before when the team encountered her before and goes out of sight for only a moment before the reporter and cameraman are around and she is nowhere to be seen. What...? Where did she go? Did you see her?

The image comes back to the reporter on his live shot making a sign to cut the video, frantically before standing up straight again. Ahem... Tara we were not able to get a full interview as you can see from the video, but we did get confirmation that it was D.O.O.R. who was working with the Ghostbusters. The big question, I suppose is who was helping whom? We did get a brief interview with the owner of the property who did not want to appear on camera. He stated... he begins reading from the notepad. I hired the ghostbusters to investigate my property so I could get the certification that there was no paranormal activity. Instead, what they did was vandalize the property and allow the witches of D.O.O.R. to trespass into the house. putting the notepad down again. When asked if he would press charges, the owner indicated that he needed to speak to his attorney first. Tara.

Back to Tara: Guy, is there any precedence for a lawsuit of this type?

Back to Guy: There is actually a lot of judicial history for this since the mid-80s. However, especially in recent cases, including Menitz-Spengler, Venkman, and Zedmore vs. The State of New York, it was ruled that in the event of supernatural intervention, the providers of service can be immune to lawsuit so long as they were initially sought after for those services. There have also been multiple court rulings before and since then concerning insurance for these events as well as protection to groups, such as the ghostbusters, from direct financial responsibility for damage to private property in these events.

Back to Tara: Very interesting. Up next in sports, Fort Smith Boxing Club is delaying it's 77th Annual Tournament again? This is the 4th time and this time... it might be for good. Will they be able to find another venue? We'll have to see. Stay tuned.

=============================================

There is a soundbit added on the later package with Roy speaking to the crew with some basics about what happened at the house. It is very spliced up but manages to get some information in as much as a 20 second clip can.
