'Nay!' option when generating ability scores

#1 Post by dmw71 »

I have always been curious about this, but I just confirmed that if you press the 'Nay!' button after reviewing the results of your stat rolls, the ignored rolls are not tracked. In essence, a player could keep generating one set of ability scores after another, only stopping once they produced a set of scores they were happy with (and no one would be the wiser).

I'm thinking that maybe the option to dismiss the rolls be removed, or that any ignored results still be recorded in the history of that character's rolls to prevent any form of potential "manipulation."

Yeah, I know. I don't like it either and I've never liked the way the stat roll system works. I built it but never improved upon it. In fact, I was planning on removing it altogether with the next round of changes. It's pretty easy to set up the same thing as an on-the-fly roll, and then each roll is recorded into the database.
