Cast Spell - Revive, Target - MonkeyWrench

#1 Post by MonkeyWrench »

Hello everyone at the unseenservant!!! It's been what feels like ages and I believe I have many thanks and apologies to spread around to all of you amazing people that I've gamed with or spoken too.

So, first off, I want to deeply apologize for dying there. I want to attribute it to a spell gone awry or some monster getting the best of me, something to say that I bit off more than I could chew this time, but in reality... I believe I just woke up in that old familiar tavern, you guys know the one, and just couldn't gather the motivation and confidence to head out for adventure. Each day it was getting just a little harder to continue the good fight, or in some adventures cases the bad fight, hah. Really, the only thing that kept me going was playing with all of you; I've never seen a place for gamers to go with such warmth as I see here, and ultimately I tried to spread that warmth myself.

But I suppose it caught up to me in the end. So I won't be making excuses or trying to throw off any blame, I know its all just a games but I still left many good players and DM's on here hanging. So to all of you on here that I've played with and gotten to know, I'm sorry.

But in the same vein, I want to thank all of you guys for being such kick ass people, I mean that. I had no idea how much of an impact I had made on you all, enough for a thread to be made to talk about me! I was genuinely touched by that, I figured I was just another piece of the puzzle, and not even one of those really important corner pieces that people always look for first! And to help answer some conjectures that were raised...

1. No that other forum person was not me and that impostor has been dealt with, long live the true MonkeyWrench...

2. I had taken other brief moments to log in as Fantasychic had noticed but unfortunately nothing ever came of it.

3. Someone put my white courtesy phone on silent and I never got the calls!

So, I want to say that the revival spell has been completed with a success! I'm back to kill monsters and drink ale with you all!! As for the games I was a part of... I'm not sure what you all chose to do with the bodies, suspended them in animation or completed the burial rites and let them become part of your games history... I know for sure that, at least for the moment, I will be taking things slowly so we don't have a repeat of this whole shenanigans... But my fingers are itching to create more wondrous memories!

And for my awesome players in my Dragon Age campaign... It'll be up to you guys if I am posting for the release of my game from the void collectors or if we will be letting it rest, it was rocky at times with players leaving and delays from both sides of the game, but I had a lot of fun creating the world with you all.

I missed my quiet and jimmy rustled orc! How's the group been while he was gone? Everyone still alive?

GW! Glad to see you too man, I would certainly be down to do some more psychopathic killing spree's with you again! Lol, It did work but not in the way you may think.

He told me about that paging MonkeyWrench thread so I went in to look at it and knew it was time to put my big boy pants on again and come back.

Good :D

You should check out Ruke's villain summary in the 4C game you went out rhyming and killing causing chaos, murder and mayhem everywhere.

Welcome back Ben! Good to hear you're still alive. :D

Alas, poor Thomas did not fare very well in your absence. But if it's any consolation, he did go down rather epically.

Good show and glad you made it back!
--Ron--
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Hahaha, It certainly can and I will try my utmost best to make sure it does not happen again. That T5000 sounds like nasty business!

I just read them all, I think Ruke did an awesome job in that epilogue post. I doubt I could do any better for my own characters.

Ah where to begin... I think I will keep this one short ;)

Welcome back MonkeyWrench. I'm glad the villain epilogue met your character's standards, and with that said, I hope you will be on board for the game's sequel under the new GURPs system I'm forming; we could certainly use that talent of yours once again :)

Ruke! You met my characters standards and more. I am definitely up for "Season 2: GURPs Boogaloo"
