Hello

#1 Post by ArtoriasAbyssWalker »

My name is Brendon, and I'm 18 years old, currently employed at Mcdonalds. I first played D&D two years ago, and I believe it was version 3.5, but I never played with the same DM. Not long after my Dad passed down all of his 2e rulebooks to me and I began DMing for multiple groups of friends, though I would call myself novice at best, and that's being generous ;). I haven't played any other tabletop RPG's but I've always wanted to play Call of C'thulu. I'm an avid console gamer although, my two favorite franchises being the Souls series (Demons Souls/Dark Souls/DkS2) and Final Fantasy. My hobby is Freestyle Footbag, basically professional Hacky Sack, and my choice music is any kind of metal genre. I'm not very familiar with PbP but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it, I'm looking forward to our many shared adventures and beaten paths.

Welcome AAW!
That's quite an introduction. We have a couple of 2E games going on here, I don't think we have and Call of Cthulhu...yet! :)

But welcome, hope you get into a game soon!

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Welcome. That is a great introduction. When I first started playing 1st edition D&D in the early 80s, I was also heavily into hackey sack (what it was called then). We would regularly take breaks from the game to kick the sack around a bit. There was always a hackey sack at the gaming table!
I hope you enjoy the site and find a game that works well for you.

Welcome AAW!
Take it from a former sack kicking metal head....
This site ROCKS!!!
I didn't know anything about PbP a few months ago either, but everyone on here is real helpful and learning the basics was quick and easy. I'm down for some CoC anytime too!
Good luck.

I've been slacking with everyone posting before me jeez... anyway...

Welcome to the Unseen Servant! We enjoy long walks by the beach, candle-lit dinners, obvious sack and bag metaphors, and the occasional dungeon crawl!!

I'm glad to see some more people younger than me on here besides Ruke

Everyone here has been awesome so far so don't be afraid to jump in! Hopefully we'll play a game together soon, maybe even Call of Cthulhu!
Life is a roller coaster, if you don't stop to enjoy it then you may as well not even ride.
