Lost
Lost
Location Unknown (was Northwest of the Outpost)
Date Unknown (was Larane 16th, 720 TZ, day after the full moon)
Everyone is engulfed in a swirling mass of lights and air that make it impossible to keep track of anything, anyone, or even anytime.
It all suddenly stops. Instead of the bright light of morning you are suddenly in the dark of night. Plenty of recognizable stars twinkle above you, but no moon that you can see. You are unsure of the exact time of day but clearly the dark of night. The air here is colder, though bearable even in your current attire. You are obviously in the mountains, although with no moon it is difficult to judge anything exactly. Your best estimate is down hill is to your west. The sound of a river is nearby but not visible from your current location.
Note Fatigue Levels below please, everyone is tired to one degree or another.

Re: Lost
Lharzin plops down, visibly exhausted, catching her breath. She looks around - do we seem to be in the same place? Can she still feel the distance and bearing to her Foci back in her wagon parked at the outpost?
She considers the flora - does it give hints as to their new location? And does the weather indicate a current season (and change therein?)?

Re: Lost
You are definitely not in the same place. Clearly a higher elevation. Different flora. Season is most likely the same when you account for the change in elevation. Distance to your other focus is further, how much unknown as you have never been this far from it before. You can sense the direction exactly, but it doesn't tell you the direction so you are unsure without a compass exactly, but rough guess is SE maybe.Marullus wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 2:46 am Lharzin plops down, visibly exhausted, catching her breath. Reminder to Arngeir, I think you posses the Unerring Guide of Skivaal magic item which would be useful here.
Re: Lost
It is a dark night which doesn't help, but nothing is noted. Covering any distance without any light source would be dangerous he thinks.
Re: Lost
All six of you cam through, tired but unhurt. You can have any of your equipment that doesn't need an animal, cart, or wagon to haul. Figuring out what everyone has for food and water is a good idea. You have hunters and foragers in the group, but mountains will be less productive for both compared to the lush valley you were in.

Murgar
Rides out the passage seeing it as part of the message he had received from the greater powers. He feels greatly fatigued and lies back looking at the stars above searching out his favorites and admiring the works of the gods.

Arngeir
Seeing everyone seems to he hale, he looks around for somewhere that give them some cover until day light.
"It seems the gods, they have plans for us, yes?"
I think Arngeirs' gear is pretty simple, the only thing of note would be that he would have brought only a single day's standard rations with him, and left the shovel and three of the enwyfs apples behind. I can see him planningin case they get stuck outside overnight, but not longer than that.

There are some rocks that you can set up next to that will act as wind breaks at least.
Re: Lost
"Curse our folly, wandering close to the killing fields of the Battle of Sorrows like newborn lambs," grouses Lharzin as she sits on a rock, resting and regarding the sky and stars appraisingly."Of course it was a Taur-Im-Aina where the fabric of worlds is thin. Thank Siem, we've been moved in space but as far as I can tell, not time. My wagon still exists at the Outpost and the stars and season do not seem different. In that direction but now much further than the distance we just walked..." she points southeast. She agrees with Ingram about resting until dawn.

Re: Lost
Algrim doesn't know what is going on but just follows anyone near him as they likely have a better idea than he does.

Re: Lost
You have probably been moved in time as well, just not very much. The hint is the moon cycle. It was a day after the full moon when you left and is now apparently the new moon.
This map. Blow it up.

Burzyn is the large city just NW of the A in Anadel. The outpost is just WNW of Burzyn a days ride. Just use Burzyn as your reference. These are all rough estimates of direction.
The Anadels are East.
The Sorkins are North/Northeast. Contains the Khuzdul Kingdom of Azadmere.
The Jahls are North
The Felshas are Northwest (the Eastern edge of Lake Benath).
The Rayeshas are also Northwest (the Western edge of Lake Benath). Contains the abandoned Khuzdul Kingdom of Kiraz.
