The Silver Vale

The Silver Vale is the River Valley of the Dragon, Winter and Silver Rivers that runs through the middle of Nentir Vale. The two towns of Lakeside to the north and Fallcrest to the south mark the northern and southern extends of the Silver Vale.

This was once a civilized land of farms and cities, but that all changed with the invasion of the monsters, followed by the ravages of wars as one group or another attempted to control the rivers and the lands along them. Eventually, there was very little left to control and the whole area went into a long dark age.

Today Fallcrest, a small city, and Lakeside, a town, have risen and carry on trade up and down the rivers. Small villages are springing up here and there, but it is still a dangerous area. To the west monsters of all sort come down from the hills and mountains to raid and pillage. North is the Dragon Lake where pirates, and worse, roam and north of that still is the dark and forbidding Winterbole Forrest. East of the Silver Vale there are small communities of Hobbits and other demi-humans...as well as humans scratching out their survival in lonely and dangerous isolation. Further east are the Dwarven Forge Mountains where Dwarves mine and contend with Giants and other mountain beasts.
