A new campaign forum, please
I would like to run a new version of my game here, bringing my old players and adding some Unseen Servants.
Campaign Name: Out of Oghma
Rlueset: MgT1
Sign-up thread: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=10081&p=493195#p493195
I have played here, but only GM'd on my ProBoard forum ( which has a different structure to this place ) - I may need advice on how to organise topics and threads as an Unseen Servant GM.

Re: A new campaign forum, please
A new forum -- Out of Oghma (MgT1) -- has been set up for your campaign. You have been set as the moderator for your forum, and you should also be able to make 'sticky' posts. To add users to your group so that they can post in your forum, follow the instructions outlined here: How to add players to your campaign. The Bindoner wrote:I would like to run a new version of my game here, bringing my old players and adding some Unseen Servants.

Please consult the 'How to make and find your campaign ID' if you're unfamiliar with the Unseen Servant dice roller.
Feel free to reply if you have any questions or issues and an admin will be able to assist.
Good luck with your campaign, and have fun!
Thanks,
Dave
As for this, your best course of action might be to just check out existing games and see how the moderator of those games set them up -- there's a wide variety, and no right or wrong answers. I actually answered this question about a month ago, which you can find here. I am far from an authority on how games should be run, but that's what works for me.The Bindoner wrote:I have played here, but only GM'd on my ProBoard forum ( which has a different structure to this place ) - I may need advice on how to organise topics and threads as an Unseen Servant GM.
I actually went ahead and created a 'Game Forum Organization' post in the 'Help and Support' topic. That contains my answer, but hopefully will also contain suggestions from other GMs that run games here, as there are many excellent ones.

Re: A new campaign forum, please
How do I set up private threads for the players, for their characters and really OOC GM/Player talk?
Re: A new campaign forum, please
You don't. The admins do.The Bindoner wrote:How do I set up private threads for the players, for their characters and really OOC GM/Player talk?
You just have to let us know what each private forum should be named, and who will be using each one.

Re: A new campaign forum, please
Ah, that makes sense.
In that case, I think I'll need private threads named "Private Character Thread for... " for each of the players signed up so far please:
hardrocks
coastguarder
Tiglath
Terrierist
SentinelCole

Re: A new campaign forum, please
These have been created. I left off the "Private Character Thread for..." part from each, using just the player name (since it's understood what these forums are), but I can easily add that extra blurb before each if you still want it.The Bindoner wrote:I think I'll need private threads named "Private Character Thread for... I also created a private 'GM Notes' forum which only you will have access to. It's really helpful to help organize/track behind-the-scenes developments and plan ahead. If you don't want it, it can just be ignored, or it can be removed. Just let us know.

Good luck!

Thanks.
You're right, the long title is redundant.
I'm hoping one more player will move over to join us soon.

Any time you need a new private forum added (or removed), just let us know. The Bindoner wrote:I'm hoping one more player will move over to join us soon.
All we need to know is the game the forum needs to be added to, and the name of the new private forum (along with the user(s) that will need access to it).

Re: A new campaign forum, please
Could you add a new Private thread for a new player on the Out of Oghma game please?
The game is: viewforum.php?f=978
The player: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=4863
