With Delsenora
"That'th great. I gueth we'll both thee you in the morning then, Mathter Dwarf," she bows slightly and then departs with Delsenora.GreyWolfVT wrote:Dalmarek gives Elanriel a nod "Sure can got plenty o' help lass. ooc: Elanriel has never had a proper friend before either. She has spent the majority of her life in the wilds on her own and, outside of that, the closest thing to friendship she has experienced is a mutual fondness between her and a mentor figure. She clearly values the ease and depth of her growing friendship with Delsenora.tarlyn wrote:OOC : Delsenora has never had a friend before. Elanriel would be her first and for some reason she finds herself very at ease with the elf lass. I don't know if that is fate but it could be. Delsenora is full of confidence and has a good outlook on life and will try to show Elanriel a better outlook on life in general. She is quite happy to have made her acquaintance btw.

Delsenora
Replying to Elanriel
"You won't bother me, fear not. I usually pray by myself, so having a friend might please Eilstraee, thus gaining her favor for my prayers.
Maybe you can tell me if I was a terrible dancer and singer,,, even a bad flute player!,"
She winks at Elanriel. Then pointing at her wounds, and wincing slightly.
"Okay, if you feel strongly I will heed your advice and we can bind my wounds together."
Healing Check for Delsenora [1d20] = 3
OOC: I think a 3 is a success on a proficiency check (Wow low is good for once

"Very well, I will withdraw to my quarters. Should you reconsider and decide to accept my offer, you will find me at the Hungry Halfling Tavern" Quick bow. "Sir Talrand" Turns around, quick bow. "Master Weston"Nordbo wrote:Talrand
thanks Reggie profusely for the good trade, carefully stowing away the scrolls while nodding non-committingly to the anonymous swordsman, then confers with Weston, again in Gnomish : "Ga-taa nin, nga-dä ba la nga deu chu ?"

Re: Chapter 2: The adventure continues...
Back at the Tavern the customers are all still talking about the great heroes and keep stopping the adventurers and shaking their hands which blocks Arimtes progress to the room above the tavern. Some of the heroes are finally able to sit and try and talk giving another chance for Arimtes to try and meet and greet them. Seeing Elanriel and Delsenora sitting talking between people coming over and thanking them or offering them a drink. Egon the gruff grump of a dwarf is seated as well Weston and Talrand make their way in from the shops and sit down as well. This is a fairly perfect chance. A halfling comes over to Arimtes and says "Don't mind the dwarf they're really good folk I know I was with them they saved me from a giant spider. You should go talk to em." he says with a smile and walks over to the bar to order a drink. Urtesi who's already been at the tavern most of the time everyone else was shopping is also sitting and relaxing.

Arimtes makes his way to the table where Elanriel and Delsenora are sitting. "Pardon me" Quick bow "you seem to be part of the group of heroes that saved Alaric the Cleric. I am Arim, master of the Emerald Serpent. Would you mind if I join you for some tea? I would be delighted to hear about your adventures, if you can spare the time."

Delsenora
The dark elf looks at Arim and smiles. Standing, she beckons him to sit beside her.
"Come, friend Arim. Sit and join us! Ah, yes hot tea, my choice of beverage. Always keep a clear head I've
learned.
Yes we are of that party. I don't know what I can tell you more. Thanks to most of the other party members, Elanriel
here especially, we defeated the Orcs and freed Master Alaric from their evil clutches. We do need to return to eradicate some
type of evil beings deeper in those caverns."
She pauses then grins at Arim. "So Arim is it? What brings you here to our table? Surely you aren't just passing
by, are you? And yes I love to tell stories but first, tell us of yourself."

Egon
Upon hearing Delsenora talking to the new guy he decides to go listen in. He wanders over and sits down next to Arimtes. "Bar maid could I get another flask of your brandy?" When she drops his brandy off he tips her a GP.
"So what's your name again?"

Talrand
(now sans hand signs) re-greets the candidate "Arim! So you are not nameless after all. Good, good. Ahm, tell us more about how you channel your magic - a most novel concept.", while sipping the pint of craft mead the innovative proprietor had on offer (and making a note to himself that whispering in Gnomish doesn't seem to work

Welcome, Aram. I would be most interested in your techniques for magic as well. As a cleric of Azuth this is most interesting indeed!

Arim clears his throat.
"Ehrrrm. Thank you all for the kind words. My name is Arimtes Yugonon and I am a master of the Emerald Serpent. We are a group of what you would call monks, or warriors, who strive for the perfect unity of blade and mind in order to battle evil wherever it may turn up. I was raised in the Emerald towers, far up in the mountains. Life there is...simpler than here, but also more uneventful. If I understand the local customs correctly, I think it would be safe to say I am out on my journeyman travels. As to fighting skills, I employ a certain kind of techniques with my blade in order to enhance my physical strength with that of my spirit. For example I currently master The Mist of the Dragon Isle techniqie as well as the Hail of Falling Stars. With enough practice I seek to perform the first form of Lightning Stance, but currently it's beyond my abilities. I heard you were fighting orcs? They are a common menace to the poor villages close to the towers, and I have fought them on several occasion. They can be reasoned with sometimes, but it is uncommon."
He pauses to sip some tea.
"So if I may ask, is the town in need of additional assistance, or did you clear out the threat? Delsenora, you mentioned a greater evil? Do you aim to seek this evil out?"

Reggie drags out a wooden box, takes a key out of a robe pocket and unlocks it. Insite are some rings nothing overly fancy looking. "These are the rings I no longer have use for but they aren't all that overly special, a few rings of fire resistance, a couple less rings of protection. There is one ring of sustenance but that does sometimes come in handy. However the rings are quite expensive. In the thousands of gold pieces range." he informs Xlore.Dram wrote:XLore pauses for a long moment. I wish to look at your rings sir. What type of rings do you have?

The barmaid brings over whatever drinks have been ordered thus far to the adventurers table they did not ask for any payment. The halfling bartender/owner waves to the group "This round is on the house." he informs them.

At the Hungry Halfling
Urtesi, who has been sitting at the inn for a while now, notices some of the party gathering around and talking to somebody whom he doesn't recognize. He approaches the table. The newcomer will see an elf equipped much like a warrior, wearing heavy splint mail and carrying a longsword. He is also quite heavily bandaged at the moment. However, there is a holy symbol worn around his neck.
"I am Urtesi, priest of Angharrad. Yes, we intend to return back to those tunnels. It is a vile and dangerous place, much more so than you would expect from some lowly orcs. If you are a warrior you would be welcome to come with us."
