The molerat stirs from its concussion-induced slumber only to receive more blows from the swift Vault Dwellers.

Quincy's misses at first, but with his second attack he catches the molerat straight in the head! The hit is so powerful, that it puts a huge dent in the fire extinguisher - white slimy powder starts dripping from it and the pressure drops.

Max comes in from the other side, and delivers two mind-blowing attacks!
Max criticals [1d10] = 9; [1d10] = 1
A satisfying cracking sound comes with the first one, as Max's wrench shatters the bones in the molerat's right foreleg. The second attack sends the beast to the ground!

And this time, it won't get up.

Victoria tries to patch herself up, but applying bandages to yourself is always harder, than to somebody else.

Max after the battle comes over to where he left Lawrence and Victoria "Ah yes your first aid kit might be of great use Lawrence Quincy here is in pretty bad shape some sort of naked mole or rat like thing attacked them but lucky this wrench does more than fix the creature is dispatched." looking at the condition of Quincy and Victoria Max thinks it is wise to do what they can with the first aid kit then get to the doctors. "Lawrence you have a first aid kit we might need that before seeing the doctor."

I've already made a roll for the first aid skill, but it did not go over too well. Would you like me to roll again, this time on Quincy now that the fighting is over?

When everyone gathers and preliminary treatment on Quincy begins, Lawrence will speak up and make something clear to the group.

"I need not say this, but I will because I am on the clock. Once we get Quincy into a more stable state, we NEED to get everyone to the clinic, asap. Even you Max. The overseer and Mr. Barnes will need to hear about this incident from everyone, unfortunately, and I have to file a report too. Maintenance will need to figure out how such a creature got into the Lab, and whether it has ties to anything else that has been going on."

Lawrence can tell that tonight will not be a fun night, the looks on everyone's faces saying it quite clearly.

"Look, I know, I'd rather not go through all the trouble either, but regulations and your guys' safety comes first. As far as I'm concerned, any damage done was done out of self-defense." Lawrence tries to finish this statement on a solid note, hoping to ease any tension forming in their minds.

I've already made a roll for the first aid skill, but it did not go over too well. Would you like me to roll again, this time on Quincy now that the fighting is over?

Lawrence quickly bandages Quincy's legs. At least it stops the bleeding!

Victoria nodded her agreement, "Yeah, the Overseer should still be with the Doctor. We can patch ourselves up and let them know what happened. That...thing may have friends with it."

Max already knows this is the right course of action "Yeah I know and it impacts the security team as well. Let's hurry then as it looks like I get to make a second report today." max sighs.

MonkeyWrench, do you want to chip in?

Quincy looks at the group, giving Lawrence a shaky smile as he patches him up somewhat, "Thank you Lawrence, you and Max's intervention was very much appreciated... and it only costed us one fire extinguisher." Quincy gives a slight chuckle, trying to add some levity to the situation.

After listening to the others speak Quincy simply nods his head, "I have no idea what the creature is now but I do know that it is heavily mutated. I won't let anyone here leave until they get a thorough inspection, and yes, that includes myself." He limps towards the door, "Now let's go.

Lawrence will grab this toolbox and the first aid kit. He will take both the items with him to the clinic while following the group out. He checks his Pip-boy to make note of the time.

He tries to mentally prepare himself for the talks to come with the overseer and doctor, a grimace now found on his face.

"Yeah, I'm just glad we arrived when we did. Need help walking?" Lawrence offers to help prop up Quincy while heading to the clinic, but gets the feeling that Max and Victoria would have an easier go at it then the mechanic and his full hands. 'Max seems to be holding up better than the other two and I wouldn't want to get in the way of Victoria if she wanted to support her...' Lawrence doesn't feel like finishing the thought. He looks away and picks up his pace.

[MonkeyWrench]

Quincy limps towards the door, continuing to stumble on his injured limps. He stops to look back at Lawrence, noting the bundle of gear that he carries and with a tired grin tells the maintenance vault dweller, "Thanks, but I think I can manage this much at least." He then continues on the route headed towards the medical ward.

Max limps slightly to the doctors with Lawrence, Victoria and Quincy. "A fine situation we've found what a day this has turned out to be."

[FantasyChic]

Victoria limps along, thinking about the creature and where the heck it came from. Was it from the surface? Thoughts raced in her head. Was the surface full of things like that? It was horrible and deformed looking. She couldn't help but think that the surface had to be a horrible place to live. However, she still wanted to see it. Deep down, she has always had that urge to see the surface, even if for a minute.

The quartet slowly makes its way through the Vault.

"What the hell, dudes?" they hear a cry from behind them as they turn the corner on Level 3 and stop before entering the Medical Ward. It's Danny, the cleaner on duty. He waves his mop at the small group. As usual, he tries to keep a good face and only plays anger. "Seriously though, I've just cleaned that part and now you come and drip... Blood? What?"

Quincy's and Victoria's blue Vault suits are torn and dirty, and Victoria's wound are still bleeding. "Did you get into a fight? What happened?"

Danny won't keep you up for long, but he is surprised - bloodied Vault Dwellers are not an everyday sight.

The Medical Ward is open, but dark, with only a small nightlight next to Ms. Mochnaz's bed. Doc Barnes is probably in his office, because light is filtering through his closed curtain.

Max tells Danny "Well they were in a fight with some odd part mole part rat looking creature. Lawrence and I heard a scream and went rushing in to help dispatch the critter. Now we're headed to see one of the doctors. Sorry about your clean floors." heading for the more well lit Doctor Barnes office. "Doc, we've got Quincy and Victoria injured and I whacked my knee fighting off some odd rat mole thing. Can you do anything Quincy's hurt real bad."

"A molerat? In the vault? Whoa..." The gang leaves the flabbergasted Danny behind and finally arrives at the Medical Ward.

Max goes straight to the Head Physician's office. It is closed, so he knocks. A few seconds later the door slides open and Doc Barnes appears. Max hastily informs him of what happened. Doc Barnes stares at him with empty eyes, almost as if he didn't understand a thing, but then sees the rest of the youngsters, now illuminated by the light pouring out from the office.

"Good heavens!" he says finally, and rushes over to his son. "Quincy, quick, lay down on the bed. Victoria, I will need---" he turns to Victoria, and realizes that she is seriously injured as well. "Children, what did you get yourself into?! Okay, umm, Leslie," he says, turning to Lawrence, "bring me bandages from that cupboard," he points towards a supply cabinet, then, if Quincy and Victoria lay down on their (separate...) hospital bunks, he starts cleaning their wounds.

A second person steps out the office: Alex Rokossovsky, the Head Mechanic of the Vault, Max's father.

Max looks a bit confused at his father "Dad?" is the only part of the question he can phrase at the moment too many thoughts, questions and what not running through his head that it makes his head swim. "Whatever it was we left it back where it attacked Quincy and Victoria. I can show you if you want or I can go locate the security guard on duty. What do you think Dad, Doc Barnes?"

Okay, umm, Leslie," he says, turning to Lawrence, "bring me bandages from that cupboard," he points towards a supply cabinet

Lawrence nods, not having been referred to by that name in some time, it takes him a moment to act. "I did what I could with stabilizing his bleeding, but didn't spend too much time near the labs to do anything else." He says as he brings fresh bandages from the supply cabinet over to Doc Barnes.

When Lawrence notices his boss step out of the office too, he greets him and says the following. "Sir. I will check into the Hydroponics Lab shortly after my business here is done, I have a feeling that the report I sent earlier may have some connection with what just happened. With your permission of course." The lowly night shift mechanic quickly adds on.
