Yes, hail causes physical damage.Cwreando wrote:Lorath is considering placing an ice storm spell on the ledge outside on top of the three giants. This also could impact their movement by making things slippery and force them to save or fall off the ledge. My quest a while back was since the ice storm is cold based will it damage them when the spell actually causes physical damage not necessarily cold damage? I think it will I just want to clarify it.

So what do you think Vorsyin should do
Keep firing lightning
summon the water elemental

summon the water elemental
Re: OOC 5 - Slow and Steady...
Note the latter is simply a matter of tossing down the stone...there is no 1 turn casting time.Computer +1 wrote:So what do you think Vorsyin should do

Is everyone shocked into submission here or are we waiting on the big V to see where we go from here?
Re: OOC 5 - Slow and Steady...
It's the holidays, man. Sporadic posting this week.

Understood...I was reacting to the fact that we had a lot of OOC banter but not any posts. Obviously, this is going to be a quiet week...though I often find myself in front of the computer/iPad/phone in a relaxed state, which often leads to more posting.

and eventually a dwarf boar riding cavalry will ride in to try and save the day.
We're like a medieval dwarf motorcycle gang ridin' our hogs.

Re: OOC 5 - Slow and Steady...
Thanks for the map Magnus. I am a visual person, sorry!
Re: OOC 5 - Slow and Steady...
Nine (visible) giants vs. six (as yet) surviving party members. I wonder what the current odds are of a TPK.
Re: OOC 5 - Slow and Steady...
I'm not sure I agree with you 100% on your police work there, Lou.Cwreando wrote:'We need to move out of the tunnel gang. It's going to get slick in here for the Giants and we need to be moving out."
Lorath is going for effect more than damage here to buy time for them to exit the tunnel and back up along the ledge toward the main exit.
It's already quite slippery out on the ledge, what with the hail storm. The only way out of the entrance, if the area just inside the entrance is getting burning-handsed into slipperiness, is out into the slippery ledge. Being on a slippery ledge near giants strong enough to pick us up and toss us is bad. And opens us up to being hit by very large rocks thrown from a very long way away. So I don't much like the "move out of the tunnel" plan.
Also, there are giants in the way of any exit from the tunnel.
