Jess
Gaughan helps Jess up and replies
“I'm sorry about the bottle. I came over dramatical so I did - here you go”. He produces a hip flask and hands it to Jess and gathers up Ink's rifle. In the midst of checking the weapon over he sees movement to the north and commenting
“B'stards!” snaps off a shot. He adds
"They're up the top end!"
Jess notes that a couple of Jakob's squad have emerged into the corridor she recognises the eco warrior "Route One" armed with his distinctive barbed wire bound bat in addition to his ACR and the rifleman called George.
Her medikit hums and she feels the "edge" drop off the pain in her ribs.
Jess accepts the flask and takes a nip before handing it back.
'S OK. We'd nearly finished it.
You've a flair fer the dramatic. Made an impression on me too. Jess begins one of her laughs but stops suddenly with a grimace.
When Gaughan fires she gathers herself.
Right. Moving.
Addressing the troops she can see:
The people payin' us're gettin' frelled. Move out. Fast as yer like.
She sets out herself, using her team comm channel to demand
Charlie-boy! Get 'em movin'. To the Colonel.

Jess Round Two (End)
Jess sees the movement to the north. She tracks a figure at the junction and fires off a burst of standard "ball" ammo. She hits the upper body and sees chunks of her target come away. He takes another half step and drops poleaxed.
She sees Beau step into the corridor with rifleman Johnny both their ACRs track left as Beau says
"Get some!" Beau hoses from the hip and while one burst misses he's on target with the other. Bullet hits bone and he blows a leg off one of the falxmen. Johnny likewise lets rip from the hip aiming higher. His first burst over penetrates the upper torso of one attacker who collapses against the far wall. Johnny's second burst more or less decapitates the swordsman next to his first target.
And then the wall just north of the doorway Beau exited leaps at the falxmen. Some of it just vaporises but a portion turns into shrapnel as an eye searing beam scythes across the junction. It touches a falxman and his already dead body just immolates toppling forwards under its own momentum. The lance of white light hits another and punches clean through him catching the man behind as well before leaving a smoking hole in the far wall.
Beau lets free an exultant "rebel yell" as Nuts (yeah,
that's why) emerges from the now smoking ruins of "Trap One" wearing nothing but his shades, pants* and a PgMp 12.
The insurgents are all dead - their burning clothing is beginning to set other things on fire.
There is a distinct smell of ... barbeque.
*[ Imperial translation service: Pants here being (UK usage) "Y fronts" or quite possibly "Z fronts" - if put on in a hurry...

Frank Round Two (End)
Frank arrives back where he started loaded and with spare ammo. As he watches the falxmen storm up to the junction they begin to take casualties from accurate autofire from the south (out of his line of sight). Frank hears commanding shouts and is satisfied to pick out the voices of Jess and Beau. The falxmen take a pasting and about half of them are down when someone lights up the crossroads with an energy weapon killing everything not already dead within it and setting fire to everything else. He hears Beau's rebel yell and considers whether a reduced imagination is actually a military advantage.
Frank's quite sure Beau never imagined the cost of repairing a luxury apartment block, just as he never imagined losing to the falxmen ...

Actually better than you thought (and my mistake) - your Int bonus will push you over 10+ into "curative"!
Sadly this means you are now practicing medicine without a licence!

Jess lets out an appreciative whistle ( yeah, a whistling woman and a crowing hen ) at the devastation wrought by Nuts and carries on up the corridor.
As far as Jess is concerned the threat is ongoing. Frank said the VIP area was compromised, reaching it is her priority. She keeps moving, driving on the troops ahead and calling up those behind.

Frank shakes his head and smiles. He looks around to confirm no more threats visible, and if so reports
"Excellent work! No further threats visible from my location, moving to secure delegates area. We need to secure points at med-bay and briefing room crossroads in case of a second wave, Beau that's you and the PGMP. He moves north to join Liv.
If he's able to fire at enemies in the VIP area this round he will stick to snap shots. I don't want Nutz and the pgmp any where near the VIP area, and he needs an 'officer' with him and I'm not sure Frank realises Voss is nearby.

Assuring Ink that death is not about to get him, I shall proceed east along the corridor, looking for stragglers at the end.

The above's a perfectly reasonable call (but I'll just check you got your PM of Sat Feb 06, 2021 10:58 pm?)
Ink is apparently on the mend thanks to Freya's first aid and as "not quite walking wounded" is supported by Route One and his buddy as they form the rearguard of the general advance northwards.

I got it...No harm in looking. After all there may be a second wave. And seeing things is not something that everyone appreciates...The Witch trials of the 800s are still well remembered in my family!
Half a league onward!

Freya Round Three
Freya goes east through the carnage and sees what must be a blood trail leading further on eastwards towards the lift/stairs area. Following on she sees the door to the stairwell is ajar and has a further smear of blood on it. She believes she can hear fading (i.e. getting more distant) sounds of movement from down the stairwell.
[For reference she is now in the squares just below (south) of the Cargo Elevator on the map].

Whoever is in the the command post...I'm at the south-east stairwell - footsteps heading down. What the hells down there and where does it lead?
And just to be on teh safe side, I'll look back to see if I can see any of Jess' crew from the barracks behind me?

Freya will know that the stairs must communicate with the Admin Floor below (where the housekeeping staff dwell and hyrdoponics and protein vats are) and beyond that the Guard's Garage / Stores level that you visited with Jess.
And ... no the mercs have advanced northwards - so Freya's currently all alone!

As the doors to the garage are open, I'll call my drone down from the roof...Connect my Gunsight by fibre cable to my suit and carefully peer through the door using my gunsight.

Freya Round Three
Freya sees ... empty stairwell.
There are indications of recent traffic downwards and sounds of departing feet echo back upwards.
Freya will be aware that her grav drone can negotiate stairs quicker that human foot speed.

It can...and so it should catch up with me before I have to start looking for their rear-guard.
Down the stairs...stopping before I leave a clear shot/grenade throw from the doorway at the bottom.
Any signs of a massacre on the staff floor as I pass?

Fortunately for the domestic staff - no!
The scuffed bloodstains continue on down towards the basement.

Prerna Round Three
Prerna drags Erica into the med bay and hoists her onto an exam couch whilst getting a report from Baker on the roof “Ma'am, somefink just flew in through the roof 'atch - ruddy fast!” Meanwhile, finding herself in a fully equipped med bay, she assesses, cleans and (spray) dresses Erica's wound. She notes that Erica's medi computer already seems to have dosed her with very effective high end medi drugs / nanites which have stabilised the wound and stopped the bleed. Prerna's efforts finish the job off nicely and Erica comes round fully.
Voss loads the wounded Jakob onto the neighbouring couch and makes him comfortable before staring at the doorway. Prerna sees a matt black grav powered robot floating silently and passively in the open doorway. Its “front” or at least direction of travel is indicated by the viscera still adhering to the curved angles of its armoured carapace. Now it is stationary the bloodstains begin to travel with the force of gravity rather than acceleration. Robots have little in the way of body language but this one seems to be guarding the med bay.

Jess Round Three
Jess advances her combined command northwards to the junction at a (painful) jog. She notes that Route One and his mate are dragging Ink along with them and that her wounds are dressed (she's also missing her breastplate – further evidencing medical aid). Freya went east towards the stairwell and out of Jess' sight.
On reaching the "burning crossroads" she is quite sure all hostiles there are dead. Looking west she sees Frank's position and beyond that an absolute “abattoir” of an area at the entrance to "officer country" from the pool/park. It bears a startling similarity to the one she created herself. Variety is added by a passive grav drone or bot stationed at the door to the medbay. It looks like it has been flying very fast through unarmoured people. This would tie in with recon report of “reinforcement” from the roof.
(OOC: An unglamorous and rather mundane (if quiet) round of "advancing unopposed" for Jess!
)

Frank Round Three
As Frank joins her Liv says
“It looks bad in there but I'm good to go” she looks scared but determined and has seemingly already accounted for the falxman who lies dead at her feet. Frank hears screams and the sound of property damage from the VIP area and he can see the bodies of domestic staff in the corridor. Looking immediately north he sees a falxman hacking at a locked stateroom door. The target is partially obscured by the lush planters in the corridors.
Beyond this a group of three head into a room whose door is open but draped with a pale blue banner bearing a stylised image of a setting sun. To his horror Frank recognises this as Polly's suite. The intruders bat the banner aside and noisily charge within.

"You're doing better, and you apparently have a guard. I have to go see about our clients." She kisses Erica soundly, and goes outside to pick up the rifles she'd dropped. She sets Erica's inside the med bay door, and then she sets off for the VIP quarters with her own rifle locked and loaded. She belatedly remembers that she's still topless, but there's no time to worry about that, now.
