Kiri doesn't know. He has never before attempted to squeeze Grandfather through a space smaller than man-sized.

Kiri does know that Grandfather was last seen holding a torch and mirror. If he still holds them, he would need space for that at least, and space enough to avoid setting his friends on fire.

If Amethu is with us, can he not take a swing?

I would have preferred him to stay guarding the doors which are tied...
