Re: OOC
I would ask why type of modem as I might well have an old one that is still functional kicking around somewhere. But all the old modems I have are for DSL.

Re: OOC
I hate to admit it but this all started right after my uncle got COVID. He didn't know he had it recovered quickly then was back in the hospital with pneumonia, he went home too early ended up back in the hospital and then was in "multiple" back and forth for months then released with the bad news you have something that is attacking your kidneys and heart you only have 4-6 months left. I've heard similar things from my wife about residents in the independent living place she works residents that got COVID and recovered quickly are having massive health issues now. Kind of makes you wonder if it is the vaccines, the treatment meds or just the damage the virus does to the human body in older ages.

Re: OOC
I think COVID does infect more of the body than originally thought, and some seem more succeptable than others. Either way it's going to put stress on the bodies of people who might have other underlying latent susceptibilities.
When I caught it in March 2020, it took me a few months to shake the fatigue I felt. Some of the stories of 'long covid' are quite worrying.
It's been a pretty crappy couple of years for the world in general and it doesn't look like stopping.
At least we have gaming as a distraction.

Re: OOC
You can say that again. This is why I love role-play gaming. I see it as a welcome distraction and a break from RL. It cam be relaxing and fun.At least we have gaming as a distraction.

Very much agreed. Everyone needs some sort of distraction I think, this is ours.GreyWolfVT wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 12:33 pmYou can say that again. This is why I love role-play gaming. Covid can mess with lots of stuff. I have several underlying health conditions, and my immune system is bad enough that even pre-Covid my doctors didn't want me to ever go into a gym or on public transportation. I got Covid in July and it wasn't all that bad, like a standard flu for a couple of days, but all my treatments for my other issues went crazy and I have had to adjust all sorts of treatments to get me back on track. Not quite back to where I was pre-Covid but almost there.
