Thrown Item [1d20+1]=18+1=19

He encourages the others to do the same, saving their real ammunition for another fight.

Couple more rolls if you need them:
Thrown Item [1d20+1]=18+1=19 :)
Thrown Item [1d20+1]=8+1=9 :(
In an unexpected turn of events, it turns out Sven is dual classed mage/sharpshooter.

Barrow Maze.

Rescuing Isvand.
9.30pm. Candlelight lantern (Sven).

The trio of skeletons dangle in the spider webs, spread eagled in the sticky threads, gnashing their teeth. You stone them to death, a punishment normally reserved for infidels and blasphemers, though that may be more common than you think in this unholy place.

As one expires under a hail of stone and arrows, it does as predicted, explode in a small (5'ft) radius of bone shrapnel.

While they are caught you get a chance to study them, noting differences or attributes they may have above other more typical skeletal types. They seem slightly stronger in terms of damage absorbed before dying and each has a mark which resembles a black hand upon the crown of their heads. Testing resistances further, Amos strikes a torch and sets fire to the webbing which burns inflicting charring and scorching to the skeletons, who writhe in agony from the flames.

At least you know they can be defeated using non-magical means.

However, six skeletons fled from the divine wrath and only three have been located. Despite the noise, the burning the hullabaloo; no other creatures come wandering by to investigate.

next actions please.

the skeletons had rusty weapons, but you can equip 6 x fire beetle glands from the deceased creatures. Each gland provides a soft glow illumination in a 10'ft radius for a couple of days if you can find a container or lantern to out one in.

Sven just shakes his head when Amos starts yet another fire, hoping the smoke and stink doesn't attract anyone else to our fun little underground party. He hands Orgoth his lantern as they collect the glowing red glands. "We can stick them in here for now."

He tries to clean up the mess as best he can once the skeletons are dealt with, taking one of the skulls with the handprint along with him to show his mage friend back in Helix. "Isvand, did you get a good look at the bottom of that pit while you were down there? Steban said he looked around, but not for any secret doors and such. Any chance you found anything interesting down there? Another beetle key, perhaps?"

Checking the door to see if the first key remains, Sven quickly pockets it if it is still there. "So there were magical components inside the room? And a demon skull that caused everyone to panic with fear?"

Sven looks around at the others with a very serious expression, motioning to the oiled door. "Before we leave this place completely, I would like to try getting inside there again. Something tells me that anyone going through that much trouble to keep us out, must be hiding something very valuable in there. This time we can take the proper precautions."

"Amos......Nice job with that sling stone, by the way. Keep the other one handy in case the three missing skeletons decide to return. So, do you think you could pick that lock again? Do you think you will have a better chance at it now that you have succeeded once before?"

To Isvand and Orgoth, he continues. "Do you think we should try to look beyond the door where the skeletons came out? Or try to secure it shut somehow before any more of them come for us? Or, just get the hells out of this place before we're all dead?"

Just for clarification, I think Gerdal is still uncoscious? And thus unable to answer. She was the one that opened and maybe (?) got the best look at the "lab".

just for some clarification:

you have the scarab key in your possession.
Amos would need a new successful open locks attempt.

It would take 7 hours for Gerdal to be fully healed but you could break the cast and she could walk out at 1hp health after 5 hours in the Hurtloam cast (+4 more more hours time).

Or you could continue to leave her in the room, alone in the dark, spiders crawling on her face.

Any small bonus to his attempt for picking it once already?

She is unconscious, so she wont even know the spiders are there.
I want to wait to get Isvands opinion before deciding what to do next. (hopefully he is as greedy as me)

Isvand replies anything so heavily trapped, must be worth acquiring. And, I'm pretty sure we've already made enough noised to raise the dead. I vote to give it another go. But maybe tie a rope on me first..

The adventurers brave opening the door and facing the faceless scary stuff of fearsome nightmares in the mysterious room beyond the lacquered portal.

The scarab key is inserted into one of the locks and Amos resorts to old trade skills to lock pick the second.

After a wiring snapping and some berating, the cleric whispers a prayer for favour and in unison with Isvand, a double click slides two tenon bolts in the oiled locks and a lacquered door silently opens.

Description of room to follow.

The room beyond is wedge shaped not square. Immediately in your west is a wall, the east wall cuts at an angle from the square with the door to join the north wall 30'ft along. Visually you see the room is filled with dusty glasses, flasks and vials, beakers of different descriptions, mortar and pestles, tongs, long spoons, sieves. The shelves are stacked, many items cracked and broken, but seemingly in neat order not strewn about in chaos. In the centre in top of a marble pedestal is a skull on top of an open tome or ledger.

Would Gerdal fit on the floor inside this room? If so, would it be feasible for us to carefully move her the short distance without upsetting the healing process?

Just let me see .... Cue dice rolls .... ooh! 50/50 ....

Sure, you can carry her into the room. I guess you could rip the tapestry room door off the last hinge and use that as a stretcher.

Isvand marches in, and starts exploring the room, not touching any of the bottles/beakers/skull/book. But looking for hidden doors, compartments, etc.
