Brax says "That is a good thought, but we know there are doors this way, so let's start with the ones we CAN see"

Brax takes a good listen, and then will open the door, unless he hears anything suspicious

Brax can hear the sounds of voices through the door. the conversation is too muffled to understand what is being said or to determine how many or what kind of creatures might be in the room. He can, however, tell they are speaking an archaic form of common similar to the fairies they encountered earlier.


It is about time for a rest. I think my records show just needing one more turn Do you want to double back to one of the other rooms to rest before opening the door?

Brax says "There are people behind the door - why don't we talk with them? Find out what they know, and then we could make plans to rest based on the converstaion?"

Peadar nods his head... in agreement or sleep, nobody can be sure.

Lavex nods in reply to Brax's question and readies his mace and shield in case the voices heard behind the door end up belonging to foe rather than friend....

"Very well. It seems the group opinion is to press ahead as opposed to resting. I shall support this decision, foolhardy though it may be. I should like to state for the record, however, that until u rest I will be unable to protect the rest of you."

Jofrid again covers those opening the door with his crossbow.

The room contains three double bunk beds. Five men are seated on the lower bunks talking. Each man wears iron chain mail over a blue tunic. All wear steel helmets and each mans face is covered by a golden mask. All the masks are the same: a long haired, bearded man with a stern gaze.

When the door opens, the five men come to their feet, hands on the hilts of the short swords belted at their waists, and stare at the strangers filling the doorway.

Brax puts on his best manner and says "I apologize for the intrusion, I did not realize this was your home. My name is Brax, and my companions and I were stranded in a sand storm. We were investigating this place for shelter and water"

"What manner of place is this!", Alastor whispers loudly, "Look! They wear masks as well!"

Unable to see into the room from the back of the party, Peadar contents himself with watching the hallways to make sure nothing sneaks up on them from behind or the other side.

"Look, they do not attack! Brax has the right of it here. Hmm, maybe they are like the last one, and they think they are long haired bearded men with stern gazes?"

Still, Lindon is preparing the words of his spell in his head, ready to cast on the "gazers" if things go ill.
